For many years I was trying to find a teacher who could simply teach me these type of licks. No theory no nothing. No one did, like it was their magical soup or something. I watched and listened to many advanced players playing these stuff and i was jealous and pissed off 'cause i could not figure them out (not very talented of course). I found this video last week. I am at the "standard legato" trying to play it without thinking it before i move on. I'm doing good and i also feel like i can make it as an (amateur/hobbist) guitarist! I have a new personal musical purpose once again! Thank you so so much Cameron!

Here again Cameron shows everyone what a real workingman's pentatonic lesson is all about. Homie shreds like the world depended upon it. The best part of his lesson is that his breakdown speed jumps are just enough where if you can do the slow version, than the middle and fast ones start to take shape. Thanks again my brother ! ! your tearin' it up ! ! !

Young man, you are perhaps the best guitar teacher on KZbin, your way of describing your licks and your presentation, along with your ridiculous skills is nothing short of amazing. As an old (crappy) guitar player, I appreciate this and wish I had your instructions when I was much younger. Kudos to you.

All those pentatonic fores that you just play on the guitar are great, that with such a style of decomposing pentatonic, major scales we can perfect each of our styles of playing the guitar🎸👍:All your advice is great. You play that guitar phenomenally.. The tone is spot on, and every tone and final vibration and tone🎵 twist makes you sound great no matter what you play.

I’ll tell you what I find absolutely brilliant and that is that a young guy and other young guys like you all rate the 80s and early 90s guitar music . You mentioned poundcake lick and sweet child mine lick . That was when you must have been in nappies lol but incredible you are keeping it alive .I’m 50 and in those years I was a teen and I sat in the bedroom playing licks to all that stuff and all these decades latter in still rockin . I will be playing this to my grand children in my 80s and and I’ll crank the volume all the way to 10 !

This is just what I am looking for to improve my licks that recently getting stuck and boring. I have to watch this over and over with my guitar and immitate the play. The notes are very simple but the spacing and the way they are played that make the whole difference. Thank you very much Cameron. Cheers from Indonesia.

I personally think, anyone who is trying to get super fast at shredding 3 notes per string should spend plenty of time on pentatonic sequences. Once you get good at 2 notes per string, you tend to take off like a jet when you go back to 3 notes per string. Helped me a lot! 👍🏻
@jpow22293 ай бұрын
I agree, I started with the pentatonics then moved into diatonic scales. I think the real trick to expand, though boring, is mastering "one string" scales on all strings (in different modes etc)
