I tried to remove the plug from the sink last week (because it was draining slow) but I couldn't get it to come out for some reason. I'll have to find a how-to video before I try again because I don't want to just try harder and cause damage!

Yeah it is supposed to be hooked in there so it doesn't just slip out, I think Spencer fixed mine where it doesn't do that. It's supposed to be hooked onto something.
