Regrading the Uighurs, here is some insights about the issue... Uighurs have inhabited the XinJiang region for centuries.They see themselves as culturally and ethnically close to Central Asian countries and their language is similar to Turkey language. Unfortunately for the Uighurs, they have seen a mass migration of Han Chinese who are China’s ethnic majority to XinJiang, and this is where the issue is. The mass migration of the Han Chinese thanks to the Chinese government was the start of the conflicts that have occurred between the Chinese government and the Uighur people. Although the Uighurs are a minority group within China, they are the biggest minority group within XinJiang. The Chinese government wants the Uighurs people to not practice their Islamic faith but instead assimilate to China’s culture and ideas. Thus, the Chinese government treats Islam as a mental illness, as those that are caught practicing their faith lose points and if they lose a lot of points they are sent to a camp for an indeterminate length of time. The Uighur people have their own language, and there’s cultural difference between Han Chinese that are migrating to XinJiang where the Uighurs live. This creates the culture differences as China wants the Uighurs to assimilate to Chinese culture while the Uighurs want to keep their culture. In short, China is using the culture difference between Han Chinese and the Uighurs people to forcefully assimilate the Uighurs people. One can’t take account of religion without ethnicity and culture. As, religion is a cultural expression, therefore, culture and religion must be viewed as relatives. And, religion continues to be an important part of ethnicity because it determines one’s identity and is part of the social system. I asked my professor while we were covering this issue, how is it that China has gotten away with this treatment to their own people, over lands btw and he said it was the fact that after 9/11 where Islam was seen in a negative light, that the Chinese government used the notion that muslims are terrorist to get away with their crimes. Therefore it was the reason why other countries turn a blind-eye on what was happening to the Uighurs in China. It doesn't explain the reason why Muslim countries turn a blind-eye when it comes to this issue, but than again Muslim countries turn a blind-eye when the Bosnian genocide was happening.

If you want to learn about the theory here’s a link kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3KuhXdja8Z3p5Y I also recommend taboo conspiracy channel and ditrh channel. To me it is clear that the Quran is describing a geocentric cosmology. The Quran talks about the flood gates of heaven which were opened during the great flood. The tafsir of ibn kathir even states the first opinion that these are literal gates from which water poured. The biblical cosmology states that there is an ocean in the first heaven above the firmament. And no I would not leave Islam if I found out it was round. Islam is a far greater truth. Cosmology is only what led me here.

As salaam alaykum Sheikh Abu Layth I have always been interested in islamic history. Looking for precedence to guide us in political life. I observed that we have had many dictators and tyrants in our history up to the present time. The main issues are 1. plurality of views being tolerated 2. Accepting coup d'état in islam where the elected chief is overthrown by the general The sunni narrative delete important historical facts and also denies us the opportunity to make a judgement by telling us not to think logically. Just accept and venerate. 1. After the death of the prophet ( peace be upon him) Abu Bakr was elected Caliph after much deliberation. Ali was not there. After being presented with the fait accompli, he did not give bayât to Abu Bakr straight away. He had a different view. It took him 40 days to think about it and finally he gave bayât. --- Plurality of views. No coercion. 2. Ali was elected 4th Caliph. The general Muawiyah made a coup d'état. He again made a coup d'état when Hassan was Caliph forcing him to give up his position. now if we condone these actions or try to rationalise them, we encourage coup d'état and hence set up a precedence. This would partly explain our sorry state of affairs. No guidance about what is right or wrong. Even if we cannot stop these people , we should not give them moral justifications. Some people say that Muawiya was a great general and did this and that. To this argument, I would like to point out that Omar remove Khalid inn walid from command for this very reason. People was starting to believe that Khalid only can win them battles and not rely on God. No one is too important and the source of all success is God. I would be grateful for your opinion on these concepts and look for ideas that would help us think straight .

If it wasn't a birth without a father, why then the jews would even bother to ask. They didn't kill her because isa spoke as a baby which caused maybe a social shock. Again here mufti you are mixing up the (miracles) term which is what's made up in the tafseer with the sign. ايه للعالمين. Also it's not mentioned in the old gospel because someone hid isa statement (اني عبد الله) which goes against the Christian theology. Sura maryam honesty does not need interpretation, specially going out of the way so the verses match the gospel of Luke.. come on man. This one mufti you have no tawfeeq This one not nice. Also to the last point, isa is the only one known in the Quran with son of his mother maryam. You have to answer why ibn maryam and not ibn Yusuf or whatever the father was. Also why did she wish to be نسيا منسيا.. if it was a natural birth why would Allah mentioned it. Please check my other response in Arabic. As for the argument of Sahiba is allah said they (isa and his mother) use to eat food. Which is telling us they are not god..

You conclude from 6:87 that Jesus a.s. has a father? From the same aya you then should also believe that Jesus a.s. had children (descendants). Also, you should believe that the father of Ibrahim a.s. was guided. And that is simply not the case. I believe that there are exceptions, and that’s why others interpreted the aya slightly different; [some]. Al-Anaam 6:87 - And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers - and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path” And we know he did not have children. Yes he is an exception.

Mufti, about Surah al An'aam v.101 where God says that he has no female companion. It is not so that He is capable of anything and everything? That he does not need that to have offspring. I feel that you can't compare the creator to the creation here, because you would be limiting Him. Wa Allahu A'lam.

I find it strange how you simplify such a complex issue regarding the Palestinian situation to an issue of land only. What is happening is ethnic cleansing in the 21st century. Do not right a wrong with wrong. Might is not right, under any circumstances

Sad to hear his views on this issue. He was better to stay quiet than insult them.
@solofleesa42483 жыл бұрын
djamaluddin I completely agree. As a Muslim scholar, it is best to stick to his expertise, which is Islam - politics is too complex to provide superficial suggestions
@djamaluddin3 жыл бұрын
49:20 you are far from read on this topic and have really insulted the Palestinians. It would be better to stay quiet. There's no need to answer every question. You have offended those that have lost their lives in this David/Goliath battle. It's like saying that the British were too powerful in India in 1900s and we should have packed up and left and gone to Afghanistan. Its easy to say go pack up and relocate. Why not empathise with our brethren in Palestine.
@introspectivex83463 жыл бұрын
I respect your opinion but I highly disagree with you here brother. This is not the case, he has called Israel a terrorist state many times. He’s talking about saving further lives. Lives over land. That’s what matters. I want to start by saying that even the Prophet relocated himself to save lives after a decade of persecution. They tried to stand their ground first but when it became too deadly, they did what was safest! So this is definitely not an insult to the Palestinians at all. If you are insulted by this then you should seek forgiveness because even the Prophet did it so it is honourable to do what is best for life. Not an insult! The Mufti is actually caring about saving them whilst the rest of the world wants them to carry on fighting over land. The Israelis have all the weapons at hand and Palestinians have not. Look at the number of Palestinians lives lost compared to Muslims. The Muslim lands are not helping them either because of political pressures. The Israels are not backing down from social pressures. So do we just tell them to keep fighting until none of them or only a handful are left? The Mufti has definitely not insulted them. Yes, it is an emotional topic and the Palestinians have been wronged greatly, so telling them to back down can seem like we’re saying give up. But this is not giving up. This is to LIVE. Life is more important than anything else. One of the objectives of the Shari’ah is life. Even the Prophet left Makkah, his hometown, due to persecution. He did not want to leave, he said to Aisha “if these people had not persecuted/forced me I would never have left.” But after 10 years he did what was safer and to save LIVES. Qur’an and Sunnah both teach us to prefer your life over endless persecution. Yes we should fight for our right and our land but not when it is turning in to a massacre! You don’t need to be so overly-emotional over land. I personally agree with Mufti that lives matter more than land. The Palestinians that died fighting for their land died with honour! It is not an insult! But after decades of this bloodshed, we need to think ahead! The blood of a Muslim is more sacred than the Ka’bah itself. Look at the situation over the years, it has not got any better, nor has help for the Palestinians increased. The best option is for them to be relocated comfortably with compensation. Live to fight another day is the best option when you’re going up against a terrorist state. The Prophet himself led by example. The hijrah is a great example for us. Don’t think lowly of relocation, if the Prophet did it then it is not a dishonorable, nor something anyone should be insulted by!
@djamaluddin3 жыл бұрын
@@introspectivex8346 the answer given by the Mufti is too simplistic and he clearly hasn't studied the history of the conflict. I'm not saying I have but to espouse views that seem so superficial and shallow to the realities of the people in that land really does a disservice to them and their right to self determination. The issue is far more nuanced than just fighting for land. I am really saddened to hear his blase attitude on this sensitive topic. As I said he would be better to stay quiet than offer an opinion. The Palestinian lady who wrote to the Mufti was highly offended and disgusted and rightly so. I'm sure thousands others would be too. On top of this he suggests the same for the Kashmiris. I'll stress again that the people in these regions will decide their destiny.
@introspectivex83463 жыл бұрын
djamaluddin interesting how your whole reply completely ignored what I mentioned from the Qur’an and Sunnah of the Prophet. That should be our example. The Qur’an emphasises life over everything else. The Sunnah embodies this and gives us a great example in the Hijrah. For anyone to be insulted or disgusted by Mufti’s relocation idea will automatically also be disgusted by the Hijrah! So tread very carefully here. Because in both cases, it is about relocation due to oppression and persecution. At least in the Prophet’s case they tried to bargain with him, the Palestinians have had no such option. Their case is much worse! So what do you have to say to that? Would you call the Hijrah “too simplistic and void of any nuance” as well as “superficial and shallow” as well? “Hijrah” literally means emigration to a new location! i.e relocation!! This is the main case that the Mufti argued from before, from the Qur’an and Sunnah, it is an Islamic stance. The fact that you ignored the islamic argument and responded with mainly emotionalism shows this is a much more emotional argument, my brother. Please tell me what other nuance is there except that this is a fight for land? Israel are literally doing this to claim the Holy Land as theirs. The Palestinians are fighting back to save their lives and land. If they were to be relocated with compensation, they save their lives and let go of the land. If they stay, they risk their lives to keep their home land. The common denominator is the land. Plus he is not telling them to pack up and leave, he is saying Israel needs to pay them compensation and relocate them COMFORTABLY with housing and expenses paid for the inconvenience. They have the money for it. Yes it is the Palestinian’s decision to make but my point is there is nothing bad or negative about this option given by the Mufti. To dislike it is similar to disliking the hijrah itself! So next time before telling others to stay quiet on a topic, maybe you should look at yourself and your own knowledge on the topic and how it relates to Islam. 🤨
@supersleeper85453 жыл бұрын
Mufti your views on Palestine offend all right thinking people. Your view is not only a daft perspective; but morally wrong.
