AsSalaamuAlaykum WaRahmatullaah Mufti! Love your show. I have to disagree with you concerning Christmas though. Christmas has long had nothing to do with Christianity here in the United States. Let alone the fact that it was banned in eighteen hundreds, because of the pagan origins of many of its rituals. It is now basically devoid of any religious significance. Based on intellect and rational thinking, Muslims should stay far away from it for this reason. . Christmas is the concoction of the retail and corporate industry to sell products. The intellectual or rational response to all of this commercialization would be to abstain. It is only a matter of time before the larger populist sees it for what it is. Muslims should lead the way and countering the commercialization of religious holidays.

In my opinion the term "Abrahamic religions" is wrong. Musa was educated in the royal house of the pharaoh. He knew very well the religion of the copts of that time. I read the epic of Gilgamesh several times. It definitely shares common information with Judaism, Christianity and Islam but historically (as a science) predates them. The info from KZbin about it is insufficient. One should read it. If it is possible translated from Sumerian cuneiform script first, with the missing lines replaced with Akkaddian version of the text. It is the first book in the world. The first epic. If one is interested in novels as a style then should start first with the sagas of the icelanders. If someone is interested in the most interesting book in the world ( The Japanese name it so) then should read the Arabian Nights.

What I mean for example if a Muslim is listening to a Christian the minute the Christian says something that doesn't agree with the Islamic belief you tend to close your ears to it because it's not your belief . So sameway with mufti . He has he's own belief but ask the listeners to contradict him and bring proof therefore he will change he's view to . Let's be open minded And hear others opinions . Doesn't have to be ours
