Mufti can you talk about the Prophets Last instructions: That I am leaving 2 things equal in weight: Quran and Ahlyl Bait or Quran and Sunnah. also can you talk about Surah 33:verse 33, i always thought it referred to wives of the Prophet but recently read Tafsir ibn Kathir and starting to think it refers more to the Ahlyl Bait.

Esmee Nafid I understand what u mean. In general the contemporary salafi approach to Islam has that affect on many unfortunately. However what helped me get past this was learning that it is one of many approaches to Islam. And that it is a very dogmatic and literalist approach. Once I came to this realisation and acceptance, I moved forward. I can breathe again

Salafi approach looks very good in the beginning when you know very little about Islam ........... But when you learn more and more about Hadith books the 'salafi' way just loses its credibility . Btw I started out as a salafi 😂

Good episode Mufti but I think you went at an inappropriate tangent with Turkey. The ottomans definitely pushed their "Islamic credentials" - pushing them allowed them to attack the Mamluks of Egypt for example. Kaiser e Rum was a title they continued from the Seljuks who called their Anatolian province's as Rum. This is purely a political move from Erdogan, who's Akp Turkey is engaging various proxy wars with Saudi and the other Arab states. A state converting a basilica which was converted to a mosque which was converted to a museum by their secular nationalist leader back to a mosque is not comparable to the rise of far right movements and governments, the RSS and BJP extremism in India nor the apartheid state of Israel. You comparing this to those things is quite insulting

Al aqsa is a different kettle of fish my brother ,ur assumption of it being a temple is based on conspiracy it's not facts it's not in the Qur'an or hadith it dose not state "the temple of Soliman is or was under masjidh Al aqsa "and al aqsa was instructed by Allah to Muhammad (peace be upon him )to face towards when praying so it was a qibla and it's in the Sunna it's part of the 3 sacred places to visit ,just saying amigo😬,I know my grammars off couldn't be bothered 😏
