WALLAH BILLAH. mufti abu layth. you are the 3alim that shouldbbe nominated to lead the western sunni ummah. i have seen a lot of shoyokh in my life. and i have seen even less 3alims in my life. you are by far one of the shining stars amongst the sunni ulema. i as a shia disagree with you. but i admire and even defend your academic nature and logical reasoning. your courtesy. your manners and ethics are impeccable. i also think you have one of the more accurate moral compasses out of the intellectuals i have met in my life. you should honestly be leading the british muslims right now instead of being shunned by them. smh the 3awaam are so lost ya ustaaadh. but there are those who only and only seek the full and just truth nothing less. wether we are sunni shia christian atheist etc. we are with you and we will "unite over what is unitable between us", which (if u think about it) is in reality everything from our initial conscious experience the birth up until our last experience the death. we are together in this life. whether we like it or not were either building together or destroying each other, unaware that we breathe the same air, drink the same water and bleed thr same blood. besides specific parts of every individuals faith - based inner beliefs, humans are able to unite on pretty much every other matter concerning humanity. True salvation is in mass unity. because humans are different from animals due to their ability to work together unfortunately we instead have become even worse than animals at taking from each other.

Assalamualaikum Brother, I would like to request your comments on Maulana (late) Abul Hassan Annadwi, Maulana Syibli Numan, and Syeikh Ali Abdul Raazak(mufti of Azahar- who said Islam has nothing to do with running a state- referring to hudud in particular).Tq. theres 2 opinions and both are correct.u got technology to use for birth of moon and u got the traditional naked eye sighting.as times move on technology will be used same as the timing for fajr and maghrib..

ASA MALM, why do you need to reinforce sectarian divisions using the wahabi term, when Bukhari is accepted by all sects. This should be a challenge for all Sunni sects rather than just focusing on salafis. Reinforcing these divisions gives a false impression as Bukhari has been around even before Muhammed bin Abdul Wahab. And isn't it the barelwis and extreme sufis who use weak hadiths to support their aqeedah of calling upon saints. It was the Salafi scholar Albani who took out weak hadiths out of Bukhari's al-adab al mufrid and faced a lot of criticism from sufis like tahir ul qadri for authoring a more authentic version because they rely on the hadith of the companion who broke his leg and he calls out the prophets name and his leg gets cured, as proof for calling out to the prophet and saints for help. The salafis probably could and maybe should do more with "tidying" up the hadiths, but they've always faced criticism from barelwi/extreme sufi so called Sunni scholars. So why this disproportionate hatred of salafis??? Also this notion of most Muslims being Asharis is false, as most mulsims probably just follow ashari scholars, but they don't have a clue what asharis and their beliefs are. They don't even know they are Asharis. Most people are upon their fitrah and i've heard many barelwi relatives even say things like upar wala i.e. the one above to refer to God. So this is just a bit of false propaganda from the asharis. Just an observation.

5 daily prayers is also from the Book of Zoroastrians and they also wash up beforehand to perform to their Gods. - Salah is not Namaz or ritual but observing the duties/laws of the God. ref from - KZbin Quran centric.The Only way you connect to the Creator of The Universe is through the Conscious and the actions that manifest into the reality of your being. Not bowing and prostrating to a being where location isn't known. Isn't God Transcendent and Omnipresent. God is not to the East if the Being is a Universal God. Unless Muslim's are told to follow pagan rituals!

The five daily prayers were from islam. Do you not think something done 5 times a day 35 times a week can't be preserved. A pillar of iman. Part of the amal of madina. Yes I know it's part of Zoroastrianism but that doesn't mean islam inherited it. Unless the practice was an outlier then maybe it could have.

1. Zoroastrians don't worship "gods." 2. Zarathustra may well have been one of God's genuine prophets, so the similarity isn't surprising. 3. Get off the Sam Gerrans drug, صلاة doesn't mean "duty."

Dear Mufti Munna Bhai. If we all give our opinions we end up in no agreement. That is why Allah sent the Qur'an as a Guide, a Reminder, for us to Judge what is right and wrong. Moon-sighting is not a matter of shirk but if we cannot get this right then what does this make us? Stupid and living in the past! Morocco, Saudi, Pakistan, are all full of sects that openly defy the Qur'an and we should have nothing to do with them and this is not a simple 'differences of opinion amongst the schools of thought! The Qur'an is never quoted by you, as far as I have been able to tell from the small number of your lectures I have listened to and though you quote a lot of sense from scholars of the past, by using the Qur'an from the Best of Scholars, we could and should eliminate many problems we have amongst us. Before there was "Star Wars" we Muslims came up with "Moon Wars". If this was not so serious I would be laughing now, like all the kafirs are doing at us every start and end of Ramadan or the recent Hajj/ Eid , whichever day you do it on! As we are told that the Sun and the Moon are for us so "You make your calculations and calendars accordingly". then it beggars belief that a mulla of mufti has the audacity to overrule this Allah given law by saying a Moon month must only begin when he has seen the new Moon and not when we can calculate it as coming into existence. Man over Allah, as far as I am concerned is arrogance of the highest order! Follow man or Allah- you choose! 2:189 (Self-control is a life-long commitment extending beyond the month of Ramadhan.) They ask you (O Messenger) about the phases of the Moon. Say, "They are calendars to help mankind determine certain seasons such as Hajj." But know that righteousness can never be achieved by entering the System through the back door of ritualism. Only he who lives an upright life attains it. Enter the Divinely ordained Way of Life straightforward as you must enter houses through their gates. Live upright so that you may reap a rich harvest. [2:138, 2:177, 2:208. There is no such thing as a part-time Muslim] 6:96 He is the Cleaver of the daybreak. He has appointed the night for stillness, (rest and tranquillity) and the sun and the moon to run their well-calculated courses. They become means of calculating time for you (10:5). Such is the Design of the All-Powerful, the All-Knowing. 10:5 He it is, Who appointed the sun as a splendid glow, and the moon as a cool light. He appointed stages for the moon, in due measure. You make your calculations and calendars accordingly. God has created the Universe as the Absolute Reality and for a Purpose. God explains His verses for those who wish to learn. [The Universe is neither a dream as the ancient Hindu philosopher Manu preached, nor a reflection of the world of ideas as Plato thought. 6:97, 17:12] 14:33 And made the sun and the moon, both of them constant on their courses - And committed the night and the day to serve you. 55:5 The sun and the moon run by a mathematical design. [Such are the changeless Divine Laws]
