Chris there is something I wanted to bring up and it's not just about Pitt football, but Pitt athletics as a whole. Pitt has been in the ACC for 11 years now, do you think the ACC is a good fit for Pitt athletics? I am asking that because it's been hit or miss for me in terms of excitement the football has been decent, not elite, but decent, the basketball to me has really been disappointing. Not Pitt, but the ACC as a whole. Outside of usuals, Duke - North Carolina, I just don't feel excitement when Pitt faces teams like Clemson, Wake Forest, or Georgia Tech as opposed to the Big East days when you faced teams like Georgetown, Villanova, UConn there was always a buzz and excitement around those games that I just don't feel in the ACC unless it's Duke or someone like that. Do you think in the longterm the ACC is a good fit for Pitt athletics as a whole?

One bad coaching call does not decide a football game. The defense gave up too many points to Toledo.

Narduzzi is the king of bad looks. He was/is like a coaching version of Antonio Brown. If he’s winning and things are going well, you put up with it. If things are not good, it gets very old and tedious. We have definitely arrived at old and tedious. I think HCPN was a good fit for Pitt for most of his time at Pitt but unfortunately his cost is not equal to his worth.

In the 2nd OT, it was 1st & goal at the 4 yard-line and they went into hurry-up mode. That was the first mistake. On 2nd down, snapping to the TE for the first time all day, in hurry-up no less, was mistake #2. The cutsie play on 3rd down with the TE throwing to a DL was the 3rd mistake. Cowardly, and ultimately fatally, kicking a field goal on 4th down from the one yard line was the 4th mistake. All of it was par for the Narduzzi course. A veritable microcosm of this entire season, and in fact a microcosm of Narduzzi's 10-years as head coach. Just about good enough to win and stupid enough to lose, with the stupidity being more prominent.

You are describing OFFENSIVE play calls. Why is that Narduzzi's fault?

@rm8766H2P because he is the head coach and that makes him responsible. This is not an aberration. Narduzzi teams have failed at the end of games repeatedly during his 10 years. It's his mark.

Let’s see if Mike Shanahan can put together another solid season at Indiana and then we can pluck him for the job and let Narduzzi retire on his own terms.

I love Pat Narduzzi but offenses have evolved & his defense has not I hope he retired so we can have good memories of him maybe even take a assistant athletic director role at the university
