Karel Pimentel I’m 22, I still live at home. I work as a private investigator, hoping to become a police officer one day. My brother is in the military and lives far. He’s only two years apart from me. I get compared to him. There’s never anything enough that I can do. Every “flaw” is always pointed out. When my dad comes home from work he doesn’t even say hello or how my work day went. He comes in and asks me if I did this this and this or if I can do this this or this. I bought my own car and pay for everything I have even to live in my room. I just don’t know what else I’m doing wrong. I pay rent and I work. Saving to get my own apartment and become a police officer. I don’t get any respect from anyone. He says “I’m too emotional/empathetic to become a police officer.” I didn’t know that was a thing..... I feel like police officers need more empathy. My dream is to change the hearts of good kids and criminals. I only have one friend I can talk to whose been in my life since the 7th grade. Without him I don’t know who or where I’d be. Just venting. If you read this far I thank you.

I feel in pain for others out there who are force to take the path that they don't even like in the first place. But at the same time, I am really proud of them because they are trying there best for the people they love. They try to be perfect for the people they love. I salute to all of you because you're sacrificing your own happiness for others. I am just very thankful that People around me are very supportive, that whatever things I may do they do still support me and whatever the result may be, they're still behind me. And only I realized, the problem is in me. That's why I am trying my best to be good.
