@AlexNoZz ..Depends on the diesel you go for. Mk3 TDDi is slower to accelerate below boost (around 2,000 - 2,200 RPM) The Mk3 TDCi has a better turbo boost arrangement going on. It bosts almost from standing start. Accelerates faster than a TDDi. The TDDi has a fixed vane turbo meaning it only boosts at the same RPM in every gear, varies slightly due to vaccum build up. Where as a TDCi has a variable vane turbo and can boost at a lower vaccum than the TDDi.

why is the v6 slower than a 2.0. I had an uprated induction manifold and a k&n. it did 60 in 8.0.

@YourWorstNightmareDK I should also make it clear that thanks to the modifications it's equally as quick as the 2.0, which is equally as fast as the 170HP, heavier V6, being only 25HP up on its 145HP. God, you've really riled me, look at the time I'm taking to post this shit. Just don't be so ignorant before you actually see the evidence. THIS V6 is SLOW AS SHIT compared with my car.

a 2.5 v6 make 100 in 8.5 this make it in 11.5 .. i donțt think thatțs a 2.5. it even slower then my 2.0 tdci 131 hp mondeo

My Mk3 1.8 duratec with new fule maps a an smal chip tunig make 0-60 mph in 8.3s so its not impressive. Too short shift and too long time on next gear. but 200km/h on 4th is impressive :D

My comment was light-hearted and you just ripped it to pieces :( Seriously though, it'll do 0-60 in 7.5 - 8.0 seconds (according to a stopwatch) thanks to Bluefin, the fact I've taken the spare wheel out of the car, and normally run it quite low on fuel. Also, it's lowered, so there's less drag in a straight line, and even though the difference is marginal at wind speeds like that, it does have an impact. You V6 is actually only 170HP, and a LOT heavier. Die
