Only found this drama this year (via Heaven Official’s Blessing) - now I am addicted - the characters, the storyline, the acting - incredible. The book is slightly different but I can firmly say The Untamed is a drama I find myself watching over and over again. I actually forget they are speaking a language I don’t speak - I am so absorbed in the story.

All the boy wanted to do was to live a good life with those he loved while also bringing justice to those who deserved it. It’s so sad that in the end of trying to do what he thought and knew was right he was brought down so hard and mistreated like that which also caused so many tragedies for those he loved. *sighs* At least now though he lives off happily with lwj

@@MONDFILMS even if wwx had told jc or even lwj it would not change the fact that wwx learned demonic cultivation because if you remember immediately wwx gave jc his golden core he was captured by wen chao and was thrown into the cursed Yiling Burial Mounds making him learn demonic cultivation to survive... it would not change the fact that people would fear him because he had the stygian tiger amulet.

@@taye1893 after having rewatched this drama and gone through so many of the scenes so many times after my first watch... I completely agree with you. and another thing that gets me feeling sad is that the thought of wwx not giving away his golden core to jc never once crossed his mind because he cares so much for him, and even if jc wasn’t around that day to lure away the wen sect from capturing wwx, he would have still gotten his golden core ripped off by wen zhuliu and either thrown off somewhere too. The path for him of learning demonic cultivation was destined to him.

It cost him his honor, his cultivation, his relationships, and even his life. But what truly made his character remarkable was that despite having been unjustly forfeited of it all, in the end, he bound no one to himself nor did he let his past take away his freedom to live and to be happy. This fmv is amazing. I'm dead on the inside.

I've been on a cql run today watching many FMV's and coming now to yours.. it has to be one that has stood out to me. It's different. This is incredibly well pieced together. In just 7 minutes and 52 seconds you've managed to put this characters whole story. And what makes this even more incredible is the clips and voice overs you picked out, and the music you chose that just makes everything pop out even more beautifully. Such a nice job doing this, I'm in love with it and will definitely be rewatching this on the days that I miss this drama and want to be reminded on how tragic yet beautiful Wei Wuxian's story is. I just finished the drama today for the firsts time. The first time I cried in the drama was when Wen Qing and Wen Ning turned themselves in. The second time I cried was when he sat on the roof all by himself, trying to defend himself as everyone had their swords pointed towards him, despite knowing that no one wanted to listen to him. The time I really sobbed though, was when Jiang Chen and Lan zhan found out about his core exchange. You have a character who wasn’t trying to “play hero”, he just wants to help some people b/c he knew they were being mistreated. He was a character who had to resort to using an unorthodox cultivation because he knew he cannot pick up a sword again. Yet, he was always blamed by the world. More importantly, compared to our villains, you never hear him use the tragedies he’d experienced as an “excuse” for doing things. He could have been an “evil” character but he chose NOT to. I’m so glad that this tragic character had one person who actually stand by his side. What a wonderful character!

Ngl when I saw this was almost 8 mins I was like “hmmm too long” I didn’t click on it the first time I saw it but because i kept seeing it so much I finally gave in clicked it and *exhales shakily* wow... Beyond incredible. The whole thing was put together amazingly! I honestly have not seen a fan made video like this of cql… the music choice, the dialogue you used.. it all caught my interests so quickly. Thank you for making this! I’ll for sure be coming back to this so often when I’m missing this drama and want a good cry.

Wow.. this is truly a masterpiece. The way you put the voice lines over certain scenes is just perfection, it all matches so well. The order, the mood created, it all depicted WWX life so well. The hardships he had to face, becoming the outcast of society just for seeking justice for the innocent, but also the joyous moments he was able to experience with Jiang Cheng, Yanli and Lan Zhan. god... you are a MASTER of gradation... the way you started with the burial mounds and build it all up to there, instead of building it up to the cliff scene? rly genius decision, like it rly is the most important moment that changes his character moving forward. another thing i absolutely adore about your edit is how you included all his important relationships that shaped him, that being between him and his siblings, with lwj but also with wen clan people.
