The greatest modern Lofi-HipHop KZbinr. Often, when searching for Lofi KZbinrs they always claim to make Lofi but it just sounds like very bad EDM with lo pass drums. However with Mondo, he is the true embodiment of Chillhop, and Lofi. The atmosphere in the videos and the ecstatic knowledge this man has provided to his audience, often for free is something to not take for granted. Please everyone continue to support Mondo. We absolutely love this content mate. I look forward to every single video! Truly an inspiration.

the quality of your videos has improved drastically over the year, keep up the great work man! do you think you could do a video on how to get smooth mixes and masters with gain staging? my mixes often tend to be like -23 db before mastering which makes it hard to get it to -14 db without losing the intended sound of the track

Even though I don't use ableton, I like how you show just the plug-in parameters. It makes it clearer to understand rather than how most people do it where you gotta look at the one tiny spot at the bottom with all the other background stuff around it, which imo is distracting. Anyways, thanks for the vid and love your music man!

Very usefull thanks ! I'm recording my guitar tracks on my kid's 1/4 guitar, it's just a toy but i can make it sound decent. I never learnt guitar but I made a lot of progress lately, anyway, i'm considering selling one of my bass to buy a real size guitar soon. I've downloaded your ableton rack, it helped me a lot. Thanks again mate !

Great video could you explain in more detail how you get the sound from the laney amp head to your audio interface and sound into daw ? I’m confused do you have extra chord going from the head into interface or ?

Thanks so much Mondo! Just recording guitar and this is has been the most helpful vid ive seen. Is there a way I can increase my volume in the VU meter without increasing it on my amp? I don't wanna play any louder than I am in my room rn, which shows at -15 db under 0 in my vu meter, but I do want to hit that 0 db level to properly gainstage. Do you have any recommendations?
@MondoLoops
@MondoLoops 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Orion, so you’re recording a real amp with a mic? Is your vu meter definitely calibrated to -18 dB? You can always up the gain pre effects - in ableton you have utility which lets you do a clean boost
@shawnBuildsAI
@shawnBuildsAI 2 жыл бұрын
@@MondoLoops yo thx for quick response. I’m recording a squier telecaster into fender mustang LT25 amp with usb into FL studio. My Vu meter is at the reference level of -18 so yeah it’s calibrated. It’s playing perfectly loud for me out loud and a bit quiet at high volume in the mix. So upping the gain pre effects (on the amp) would be pushing the sound too loud for me outside of my headphones. I’m looking for a way to up the volume on the computer only that would help gain stage. I’ll check for a clean delay plug-in real quick lmk if they’re is anything else I can do it increase it👋

Hey man, responds a little better than the amp sims and if you are driving the amp I'd recommend it for sure, for clean ambient vibe stuff you'd probably get a slight difference but very minimal honestly!

I don’t know what guitar to choose for lofi neo soul between single coil type guitar like strat or telecaster, p90 guitar and les Paul or jazz type guitar. What would you recommend for a beginner? Thanks a lot for your video
@MondoLoops
@MondoLoops Жыл бұрын
Hey! There is defo no right answer but if you want a bigger warmer sound I'd go p90 hands down, as a begginner to recording guitar the humbucker will be the easiest as it is much cleaner than single coil and p90s
@BellsCuriosityShop
@BellsCuriosityShop Жыл бұрын
A P90 is great for more types of music than its given credit. I struggled for years to get a nice sound from my SG. It came with mini-Humbucker and sounded quite thin. I replaced the one in the bridge with a Seymourized Mini and it sounded no better. I considered enlarging the hole and dropping a full-size Humbucker in there but my carpentry skills are zero. I tried a.P90/and it was like a new guitar!!

@@MondoLoops I think i know what you mean. I have a full pedal board of cool stuff but, after i record it i feel committed & locked down to those sounds. However, i have been greatly enjoying the Boss SY-1 i got. Paired with a nice reverb or delay it can get some unique lofi sounds going (don’t pay attention to the cheesy demo vids)..really want to try the SY-200 they just released as well. Best synth pedal i’ve ever owned honestly (& i’ve had them all lol). Highly recommend you take a look.

Hey DKF, got big love for his loops he was defo an inspiration for the amp, was a toss up between getting the UAD amp top but the laney doesn't need it!
@thedarkflowkiller
@thedarkflowkiller 2 жыл бұрын
@@MondoLoops I knew it ! As soon as I started seeing that amp in the background of your videos I knew it had to be the reason. Sean has the single best tone anyone could ever get on the guitar, I tried reproducing it but without this amp it's just not possible lol. A shame he barely makes anything anymore, this guy's a genius.
@MondoLoops
@MondoLoops 2 жыл бұрын
@@thedarkflowkiller yeah his tone is insane, it was always the harmonics in the higher notes that got me, such a nice warm sound! In fairness If you go back far enough I don't think he always used an amp, I think it's all about getting that soft fingerstyle playing perfected!
@thedarkflowkiller
@thedarkflowkiller 2 жыл бұрын
@@MondoLoops Definately not always had the Laney but ever since he got it, it went from nice tone to perfect. The tipping point for me was "it aint weird". I don't think anything can sound as pure as this masterpiece :)

yo Mondo - does DI mean using the output of the amp, with a lead into external hardrive?
