What’s really sad is that my wife and I are in a very solid financial position. We have only mortgage debt and our monthly payment is very manageable with regard to our take home pay. I think my anxiety stems from where we were before we cleaned up our debt about 10 years ago. I always feel, like we’re on the brink of financial ruin even though our bank account states differently. I have a very difficult time buying something that I just want and often defer spending only to needs (bills). I have friends who spend way beyond their means and really don’t seem to care how it may impact their financial future. I would love to find a way to bring more balance to my life and my relationship with money.

I’m in the same boat. My wife and I both make modest incomes but I’m a saver and I love investing. I’ve managed to accrue almost 200k in savings/investments at the age of 32 but I still always feel like I’m on the edge of going broke and living on the streets. I’m always stressed, depressed and anxious. I just can’t figure it out.

What I remember most about my childhood is the time I spent with my dad when he was relaxed and attentive, just playing simple games (Unfortunately I'm now listening to this because my parents often fought and worried about money). Children need the basics but attention and love is the greatest gift you can give them. Many rich families neglect their children who grow up to be drug addicts or worse despite being given all the material things they needed/wanted. Good luck on your journey :)

Hi there! It depends on your insurance plan. Here's an article we published that goes over how to know if your insurance covers therapy and how to find a therapist covered by insurance: www.choosingtherapy.com/mental-health-insurance/ Hope this helps!

I know what it is, why its happening and its effects on me. I need to know from you its root cause . Whether it be a trauma in childhood and how to soothe myself from it.

Im seeing a lot of comments shifting the blame to external factors like government. It may not be your fault youre in the situation but it is your responibility to make the most of it. Significant change in your life can only come about with taking responsiblity for it.

I really want to stop thinking about money, but the uncertainty of inflation, pandemic, climate change, and wars make me worry about can I survive in the future. Even if I have emergency funds, savings, and plan money for the future, it’s still not enough because the world is too uncertain that I cannot be certain about whether I will have enough money or not. Maybe inflation will make us to have a thousand dollars for a meal 🍽️ in the future. Who knows 🤷♂️ And maybe we will live much longer than we expected. The average lifespan for people in 1800s is 29 years old but now is 80 years old. How can we predict the future to not be stressed about money? I don’t want to die because the food prices become millions of dollars.

Sorry not sorry, it is the governments fault 100% also landlords who overcharge to rent out their buildings that they havent done maintenance on since the 1970s

Yup because of Trudeau our prices on everything have gone through the roof while our wages have actually gone down due to losing all of my overtime. He is killing our economy. I don't see how it wouldn't be the government fault they give themselves huge raises while the working class are struggling so bad.

I totally agree with you, dude. Sadly we usually can not directly alter the decision of others that contribute to our financial problems. Usually the "easier" option we have available is accept the fact and try to find an other solution ourselves. So yeah, parents, bosses, landlords, government all share blame for our misfortune but we can not afford to rely on their understanding or mercy. We have to find alternatives.

Yup. Trudeau has destroyed our financial stability here in Canada. It's definitely the government fault!
