Stress almost killed me. Corporate job, taking care of a parent with dementia was too much. I crashed and ended up in hospital. With almost no life left. A doctor told me that I had to make choices to survive and let go of responsibilities. I left my job, and placed my mother in a long term facility. Took me a full year to recover and feel human again. Got rid of toxic people , bad habits and technology. I woke up, thanks to that doctor but my will to live was strong. I now understand the importance of having a vision for my future. I meditate, do yoga and I swim. I bless each day as if it was my last. To those who struggle, become fearless. Trust yourself, not others. Become your best friend and treat yourself like such. Bless you all.

I destroyed my overall health due to stress, by living in constant fear of diseases and fear of what future will bring. So, what dr Joe is saying is 100% true. It is very easy to destroy yourself, it is hundred times harder to put yourself back. If you can... please, make everything possible to avoid stress (by therapy, a hobby, find another job or partner, better single than in a bad relationship, say goodbye to toxic friendships, practice yoga and meditation, sing, dance, cook, travel etc). Do whatever it takes not to live based on stress hormones cause, from my experience, I am telling you: that is not life. It is like hell repeating itself every single day. And, in the end, it wasnt worth it. Your mental health is the most important aspect, having it at its best condition helps you to conquer the world! Otherwise, life is just a constant struggle. And, when we are not at ease we create dis-ease.

Also, when we are in fear we are completly disconnected to our inner Power, our inner Source.the God within us. We were lied that God is ouside. That is your pure heart energy. You're a mom to 2 lovely daughters whom you love dearly, more than your own self which makes you Feel more sad cause you wonder how could your mom treat you that way. What should you do? You dont want to ever connect with your mom again but you worried that you hurt her feelings, at the same time you still traumatize from how she treats you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻sometimes i wish i was adopted/ born in another family. I dont need money, all i ever need is a mother love.

This is absolutely true. I used to love life. I was so active. I then lost my girlfriend, my Father and Grandma all in a short space of time. I tried to hide how I felt inside but I wasn't fooling anybody, especially myself. And weeks and weeks of constant stress and anxiety led to me being diagnosed with Functional Dyspepsia. Your brain and your gut are heavily linked. I should imagine many people that have been tagged with IBS by their Doctor have had or have a lot of stress in their lives and constant negative thoughts and feelings. Your mind is a powerful tool and it can absolutely cause physical symptoms over time. It can also help you to heal if you re-train it.

More blood tests/ultrasound scan are being done, but I think having to call an ambulance has really woke me up to the fact that my stress/anxiety are making me I’ll. Do you still smoke weed and drink alcohol? I used to smoke marijuana and smoke cigarettes. Now I don't and along with all of that out of my life changes with my family and job I've been going through a lot of depression. I keep feeling like oh this feeling of loneliness and emptiness in this void is that I have to smoke cigarettes but that is stupid. I made in the image of Christ that I am to imitate him. And to love him so much and to know how he's changed my life in the past and who he is, at this point in my life going through what I'm going through I feel like I can't shake this depression and change in my life and find Joy when all the joy is in him and through him and of him in his word I feel ashamed and guilty that I can't get over this knowing who I know who is the most awesome person in the world is Jesus Christ my savior my king I still wake up and dread the mornings sometimes and I have a wonderful happiness during day and joy from time to time but when the depression hits me it hits me hard and I don't even want to vacuum my van or sleep or mop the house when it needs it and I just do what I can hear keep things together and keep my job. But inside I'm bursting with energy and happiness and joy and enthusiasm to go and conquer the world with Jesus and it doesn't last all day I know that I have to pass this test and go to this trial the seasons are harder at times than others. I know that was very lengthy. I don't feel like I have anyone that I can talk to either that would understand me. I have three grown children and 10 grandchildren I have so much to be filled with joy and peace and happiness over having a wonderful creator God is amazing and I know it I just feel like I'm in a slump that I can't get out of which I feel actually that I'm a lot happier in a day than I am sad. I just want the Battle of sadness to be gone I'm tired of this season

11:46 - 12:30 is the most significant and helpful part of this whole thing i think. This guy was very interesting. But if you struggle with anxiety, in a real situation or just thinking about an interaction, your body creates anxiety and the mind picks up on that feeling and runs away with it, so then your thoughts are making up all kinds of crazy scenarios that aren't going to actually happen, but you're sure they are because your body is feeling the anxious feeling. ---- If you can imagine that situation that's making you feel anxious; maybe it's work, maybe social or romantic, and imagine it all going smoothly, and imagine different good scenarios happening, imagine smiling, laughing, a difficult person not bothering you at all, everyone liking you, an interview going well, etc. and any time your mind goes negative, you stop it and just refuse to engage in that type of thought scenario, your anxiety about the situation will decrease, and you'll have more control over your mind rather than your body (brain hard-wiring or whatnot if you have ADHD, GAD, etc.) having that control over your mind. I realized this works for myself, and at times i've missed great opportunities in life because i let my mind generate all kinds of possible negative outcomes, which at the time i didn't realize was simply anxiety controlling my thoughts and thus, my actions. If i'd imagined possible good outcomes to situations beforehand, then i would have been able to go into work, social, or romantic situations with a more positive and confidant mindset, than not at all, because my undiagosed anxiety was wreaking havoc in my mind. Breathing and meditation will also help, but imagining the situation in only a positive outcome, greatly helps as well.
@mryan44525 жыл бұрын
Hmm positive thinking doesn't necessarily work for alot of people?! Good that it works for you.. What I've begun to do is self doubt, when something happens that causes me anxiety and I go into a "controlled" state of thinking, merely having a state of healthy self doubt - I wonder what there is to learn here, can open up the mind and change it from a rigid fight or flight mindset into more of an open mindset. You don't need to have a solution, just merely ask the question (if you look for a solution you'll likely ruminate). This is the theory behind RO DBT. It's supposed to help for people that have an over controlled perspective.
@infiniity55295 жыл бұрын
KuroNeko true what you’re saying but sometimes the situations your mind creates can actually happen and when I think about that kind of situation and how helpless I am at that moment the anxiety kicks in. Can’t help how I feel even with positive thinking just doesn’t work.

Eckingtonwashdc ...amazing you do recognize your complete ability 'to create' a negative reality within a sad or negative imagining... realize how close you are to doing the exact opposite and 'creating' a positive reality! Dr joe dispenza alludes to this way of getting out of negative ways of thinking to have a different life but he may have got the general ideas from a Neville Goddard on YT (or you can read his stuff too) If you are a Christian you can still ascribe to the methods as they are clearly stated in the bible and tho mr. Goddard teaches biblical allegory - it doesn't truly matter, (once you have heard or read some of his teachings you will be able to understand it symbolically and traditionally , for the most part)the process of manifesting our own reality here on this prison planet, is one of His gifts to all of us to ' help cushion the blows of life' and to help send us toward the direction of eternal life with Him. The ones that control our perception of this world have hidden the whole of Jesus ' words to keep us in the dark about so much. Secular or sick of 'religion', if you are ready to hear and/ read the bible in a slightly different but more powerful way, it may now resonate to listen to the teachings.

Hope this helps someone. I got into guided meditation last May. It's made a huge difference, but I still struggle with stuff. I've tried some body scan meditations and they were good but I often got bored trying to do them. About a couple weeks ago I was doing some silent meditation and for whatever reason I just started paying attn to my body. Next thing I know I'm gently speaking out loud sending healing light and energy to each part of my body, to all my muscles and joints, bones and arteries, kidneys, liver, etc. I started with my toes and ended with my brain and paid special attn to my heart, thanks to what I've learned listening to Gregg Breden. Afterwards I felt great. It's amazing when you not only relax but feel the calm move through you and heal you. It reminded me of the verse in the bible be still and know that I am God. The stillness is where the peace and love is. It's where we heal. Hope this helps someone. I'm still struggling, but I'm getting better.

It is so true. I lived in the working place where I loved my work but the damaged people around just became the worst. I got the highest level of qualification and I was the best in my field, but still not good enough. Every morning I promised to myself I will ignore them. But there they will find something to ruin the day with fals accusations and their insecurity. I start to get sick, my immune system was going down. I had 10 years until retirement, but I realized I will not survive 10 years in this environment. When I realized that I got the fright of my life and decided there and then I must get out of this situation if I love myself and my children. The moment I decide to resign I felt the most overwhelming happiness. I had no plans for the future but the feeling was so strong I will do the right thing. So I resined and for months I waik up every morning with the fear that I have to go to work. It took me a year to get used to the freedom and peace I have. I congratulate myself every day for doing the right thing for myself. I believe it was a higher power pushing me to save my life, because the decision and the action I took it wasn't me. It took me 2 years to recover with my health, joints pain, alergies and flue, herpes, sores in my mouth, exostion, luck of sleep. Now I am well, healthy, happy and free. I started lecturing which I love. Now I can enjoy my house, my garden, my pets, my family and my friends. I never had time for any of these before.

Powerful words from Joe. It's oh so true that stressful and traumatic events program our brain to see the world in a negative way and neglect the many good and positive things in our lives. A traumatic event in 1999 changed my outlook on life and filled me with ongoing stress & anxiety. The memory just wouldn't relent and even during moments of peace & happiness, the memory of that day would intrude and bring bad feelings. Slowly but surely I'm finding my way and making sure the positive outweighs the negative. Every day is a blessing and a gift and we have to make the most of it and create happiness whenever we can. Thank you Joe for sharing your knowledge and wise words to help reprogram us into the state we are meant to be - content, vibrant and free; not languishing in thoughts of despair, doubt and self-pity.

Thank you so much for sharing I could not agree with you more. Stress causes so much illness in our lives and in return of stress it causes us our bodies are organs our minds and our emotions to be ill and fall to disease. This is one of the best videos I have seen.

Really needed this. Wanna give up so bad. And this just makes me cry and give me some hope. Anyone out there going through it. I love you. There’s someone who does care. I need to hear this myself

I understand that feeling of wanting to give up, from smaller things, to bigger ones, to everything, very well. Fimding everything too hard, being scared, feeling like a failure. I hear you brother, I care and am cheering you on from afar. Thank you for your kind words as well. There is light to be seen, part of which is also luck, that I know will come your way. You are not alone, you have worth and value and you are loved. You deserve to be loved. I may not be able to offer much, but here's an online hug 🤗 may we all survive the storms and feel the sun shining upon us

I think we've just been so conditioned into the negative that we perceive negativity to be easier because we're more used to it.

As an 18 year old in an office of a large rubber company I sustained vile verbal abuse from a male co worker with no help from management. Those memories are stuck in my brain and continue to haunt me to this day. I have tried to deal with them myself by trying to replace them with good memories which I thank God I have.

This is the best video I have watched. I am certain it will help us to have a healthier life. I just sent it to my son and other friends who have been going to the same process of thinking, me too. We need to watch it over and over until it get registered in our mind. Thank you ❤

You were right. It is very uncomfortable. But the better I get at controlling my thoughts, the more it working. I have a program that tells me I'm not worth the healing and happiness, nothing will work, this is short lived etc. Currently trying to undo it

Fear, pain, shame, stress. Each one a powerful negative motivator in it's own. Combined, I am quite convinced that they are a recipe for illness. Of many sorts. And it builds. Never fear shame, feel shame for your pain or stress over things you cannot change eg the past. You can change the future, but that means leaving the living yesterday. Remember what you did wrong and learn not to repeat. I was discharged from oncology last week, last year i was in line for a stemcell transplant. Today I'm working again. Being grateful for what you have is the best gift you can give yourself. In trust you must. Life. Can't live without it.

Em, . To reduce overthinking negative thoughts be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself with others, avoid storing bottled up emotions, reduce watching negative social media--news channels and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress and overthinking. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils and within the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. You can sit straight on a chair or lay down anywhere, eyes closed but avoid deep breathing. If distracted bring focus back on the breath. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath before sleep, when travelling, when reading, when walking, at the workplace etc, Best wishes--Counsellor.

Been under stress for 60yrs. There were good times. Found laughter, various trips, good friends eased stress, which is no enough to balance the stress. Now I have new stress coming a month from now. Just never ceases. Junk comes to me, no matter how many times I moved away from circumstances. I left a lousy situation 4 months ago. The very people that caused that, be moving in. 30 miles away I moved from them, soon be in the same house again!!!!
@FollowerOfChristJesus-h7v Жыл бұрын
The people you are talking about can't move in without you letting them. Of course, I have no idea what circumstances you are currently in, but most of the time, if you already decided to cut people out of your life, they can only come back if you allow them to.

@Fistedmelon I am not allowing it, her sister is!! Because I have low income, I moved in with her sister, boyfriend- who bought this house, her father. I had no where else to go. Now that the ones I moved away from, screwed things up again, being evicted. So, it is here that her sister and boyfriend are allowing that.

@Anastasia Beaverhausen So many times over the decades I thought positive. Be it a better job, my own apartment, felt very good. Had good friends, etc. The outside forces change that. Layoffs, had to go on disability. During the late 1970s- mid 1980s, yeah, life was much better, very happy. Then actions of others cause my life great changes. I heard all these ideas before about positive thinking. Even now, with only a bedroom, no more vehicle, low income, still make laughter, jokes to avert negative thoughts. Can't change the actions of others coming at me. That's like saying if I'm walking along to a store, someone either hits me with a car ( drunk/drugged driver) that changes my life, is it my fault or the driver? I don't drink or drugs, so what I do is not negative, what others do is.
@FollowerOfChristJesus-h7v Жыл бұрын
@@danclark1348 didn't mean to come off as accusatory. That is unfortunate, most i can say is try to distance yourself from people who impact you in a negative way. No matter how hard it is, because its difficult.
