Hi Peter, I’m a young lad and I’m wondering how I could get into downhill racing as I have just got my first downhill bike
@PeterJamison19 күн бұрын
@@oscar-on-nukeproof_dissent I’m not super knowledgeable on this topic as I don’t race, but starting with some local races would be my recommendation!

What injuries have you had? Would you consider making a dedicated video about injuries and how to overcome them? Thanks!
@PeterJamison17 күн бұрын
I have fortunately been pretty lucky with injuries! That said, I wouldn’t be the best person to make a video about overcoming them, but thanks for the suggestion!

You have a lot of skill on your bike and your definitely fast, just curious about what keeps you away from racing? Would love to hear your thoughts!
@PeterJamison19 күн бұрын
Appreciate the kind words! Racing has just never really been something that I have been drawn to, but perhaps that will change in the future!

When did you get your first sponsor? And how do I make the most out of my training if I don’t have any local trails just the ones I build myself? Thanks.
@PeterJamison15 күн бұрын
I got my first real sponsor when I was 20 🤙🏼 As far as training, having to build your own trails may seem like a downside, but building is a great way to improve your riding as well! I would just keep digging, riding your trails and let everything progress naturally 🤘🏼

Do you have any methods for overcoming fear or huge gaps? I have the skill but am too scared to hit! Big fan of the channel. Keep it up!
@Bradley_mtb19 күн бұрын
Obviously Peter will have much better advice but I got really comfortable on tables then worked my way over to more gap jumps. Getting towed in and letting someone show you the speed will make it way way easier aswell.

@ that’s what I have been doing but I just can’t seem to transfer it over

@ I have hit trestle 36th chamber and stuff but I am messed on up on like 30ft gaps
@Bradley_mtb19 күн бұрын
@CaidenMTB01 maybe start on smaller gaps and build confidence on those rather than a 30ft gap
@CaidenMTB0119 күн бұрын
@ yea. I have some local ones it’s just that the only ones near me are huge. The ones I built are like 20ft and all step downs.

I feel for many of your younger riders/ followers, being more specific on an income range for a youtuber, a free rider, edit/ content creator rider, etc... would be more informative. I am not but many of the younger riders would like data if pursuing a professional riding career would be feasible.
