Firstly, this is taking nothing away from the riders…they do what they do and its nuts! Compare the two… Brendog - Nose manual off start ramp>unique janky start section>disgusting technical and exposed cliff chute>step-up, another step-up onto rock feature...full exposure drop off>No hander trick jump>Backflip over canyon gap!!>Finished and rode the Jordie-drop>Another huge backflip! Semenuk>Manual off start ramp>Same start line as others>Truck-driver jump>Backflip-one-footer over step down>One footer over hip>Flat spin>Few straight jumps>Indian air>Opposite tail whip onto lilly pad>Huge flip-whip! Both crazy good, but one was the definition of big mountain freeride the other was essentially slopestyle.

Oppo this! Oppo that! Spin to win! WTF... one of the best rampages ever from the hard work the rider's put on display and especially the progression from Fairclough and Tom V.Steez, but the winners always being the ones doing the most slope tricks in a row is getting very old.

Brendog was not judged correctly. His line was one of its kind. It seems you want to make a slopestyle event out of it. Then please just build a Flow trail with huge jumps and let the riders compete. Perhaps Brendogs run was not a winning run, but it should have been a 88-91 score. Nobody likes to see when people are treated unfair. I am out.

Godziek, Semenuk, and Van Steenbergen. How MCCaul got top 3 is questionable. But I’m not an MTB guy so I can’t comment on freeride vs slopestyle but there is definitely two styles trying to be judged as one. Sorry freeride, but as a pure spectator slopestyle is more entertaining. IMHO

I totally agree. The problem is the fact that there has not been any exact criteria HOW to evaluate the ride - for example coeficients for the line difficulty, whether and how to evaluate tricks etc. IMHO: Godziek and Semenuk had the most "beatifull" rides - full of insane tricks etc., Brendog has the most difficult line - totally different from the others. How to exactly evaluate this - difficult stuff! IMHO he could have at least 10+ points.
