I'd never seen a zero clearance stove or installation before. I've had one freestanding, then an insert, then a fireplace furnace. Thank you for sharing.

That hand truck is awesome! I've never seen one of those. -- I think the insert is a lot better choice than a fireplace, safer and a lot more efficient. Probably best to have a few fires in that stove and break it in before moving into the house. New stoves and flue pipes can have a bad smell at first.

You sound just as excited as I am about wood stoves and fireplaces. Lol nothing like a nice wood fire in the house…nothing makes for a more cozy home environment! Gas just can’t even come close!

I love wood stoves but I like the ease of cleaning it out with out having to put the fire out or let it go out to clean out any ash ect that builds up over time. I have always like stoves with a bottom section that collects the ash to remove and get rid of with out really disturbing the fire. but pretty cool either way. I guess in a double wide like what I have this would work great in.
@KeepingItDutch
@KeepingItDutch 5 жыл бұрын
I have a big wood stove that has a ash pan like your talking about, ive used ot like 3 times ever, its just to small to mess with, i usually will just move my coals to one side and clean the ashes then push the coals back into place and add wood😁

Hopefully that silver flume holds up well from the creosilt from burning wood. About 50 years ago my parents converted their fire place with a wood burning stove. A few years later it almost burnt the family home down. But all is well still in the house built in 1920. Enjoy your new home.
