In Bali and around Indonesia it's not always easy to find an ATM that works or works for your card. My suggestion is to always plan ahead on how much you might need for a couple of days. And use hidden money belt to keep the extra cash while travelling.

As long as you have a visa or plus logo on your card and the the atm has the same sign on the machine, you should be sweet another bit of advice is tell your bank back home your traveling to Indonesia before going.

Hi. Great and very useful video. I am going to vacation in Bali soon. How much cash is reasonable to have on you or to withdrawal when you are sightseeing etc? I understand it can be very dependent on your own spending habits but what might be reasonable? Thanks

Sorry but only using your card to do transactions will cost you a lot more in fees and conversion rates also the rate thay pay you this way is way lower than changing cash
