We grew our sales very fast but not our service network, says Ola Electric’s Bhavish Aggarwal

Ola Electric chief executive officer (CEO) Bhavish Aggarwal said the firm is getting ready to launch a string of products to expand its portfolio across multiple categories such as motorcycles, three-wheelers and electric scooters, declaring 2025 the “year of products”.
Talking about the company’s efforts to improve after-sales service, Aggarwal said while customer complaints weren’t the root cause, the rapid expansion of sales outpaced the growth of the service network.
“We have completely resolved all the service backlog that we had. It wasn’t a major complaint issue but we didn't expand our service network fast enough. This was a lesson we learnt,” Aggarwal said at Network18's Green Bharat Summit on December 13.

i own s1 pro which i bought in late 2022. i have seen changes happening at service centres.. earlier i saw 90 odd scooters sitting there for service but now just few days back when i visited there were hardly 10 to 20 scooters for service.

How ? Batteries are commodity business , u still need to get ( import ) lithium , rare metal to make batteries , what is that Amaron and exide batteries can’t do ? It is backward integration . Even today if we read from the Press Information Bureau of the Govt. Of India we find that the fossil fuel ⛽️ subsidy has been cut by 85% so far 😅 meaning 15% of it is still around. Bhavesh rightly quoted the ministers, “it’s a nuanced approach!”. IMHO: As an EV evangelist myself I say have a negative subsidy for ICE 🧊 and push that amount to a positive subsidy for EV 😅! But that’s just me! 🙏

Worst service my ola S1 air is at service center from a month they have thrown it outside and no response from their side and no service centers nearby i have to travel 80km to reach this center and still no use they have not even started service as theyre saying mail not accepted by the company this is not even poor service there is no service at all my emi and petrol bill at 8000 monthly , i very much regrett buying this , plz dont fall into this trap

The worst service ola is providing, my vehicle has system issue and we don't have experience center near to our town, I raised a complaint 10 day's ago but the technician didn't visit yet, Ola is launching new vehicles but they don't provide service. The worst company Ola

@marong3717 good point. And good luck to OLA. Ola and Indian companies can thrive in Indian markets but what about the world market? We are not even close, if we want to grow our economy we need global players from India. The US and China already have a working Solid state battery prototype, it only needs 1 year of testing and start production in the next 2 to 3 years. By the time we develop it US and China will be on their 2nd or 3rd generation of their tech.

@@0arjun077 i cannot guarentee but ola is working on solid state - ola can survive outside india in us or europe dueto tarrifs with china - i lived for 10 years in china, seen their ev bike revolution, last year went there again to see zeeker, byd, geely, a lot of brands making ev car revolution - with time ev bikes will die in china as in many cities local governments in china banned ev bikes - they have a restriction of 25kmph for ev bikes in china - which india dont have -china along with tesla will dominate and continue to dominate in ev cars but we have oppurtunity in india for ev bikes - ola like byd is doing almost all things in house which in long term will be more successfull like byd.. seen the team working on batteries in ola, patents they got, patents they filed, i see they will eventually succeed but will be 2-3 years behind china in near future but after a decade ola will catch up.

i went to many service centers of ola - people simply dont know how to repair - they come there and learn - spoke to them - when compared to ice evs r far more easier to repair except software issues which most service men cant repair . it will take time for people to learn and adapt.
