You are comparing a technology driven socialism to development of human resources to a more skilled kind. It's like comparing cats and dogs. BTW you can't name a single country that has won by socialism only unless they are the ultra rich Scandinavian ones. India is exactly getting in this trap by not upskilling the only export we have,"the brain drain". For comparison let me tell you in a country with such a huge growing population, earlier factories needed loads of labor for example say a rifle making company in a single plant employed 50~70 people...but now the whole process is automated needing 5 people for the whole plant ...so what does these 70 people do? I m not against automation but it should be done in a controlled manner. We haven't developed skill to develop these high end automation machines which are being imported from China. So we are lagging behind in that manner too. We haven't opened up alternate career options the reason you see a hell lot no. of people in delivery and cab services. It is booming now only to get disrupted in the near future in say 10~15 years once the AI services multiplies by a massive amount.

Anyone who’s studied computer science, AI or distributed systems understands that centralised systems are very poor and unreliable in information processing as compared to disteibuted systems. More so if the master node handling the information processing, planning and decision making is an uneducated fool who's only working for self-enrichment and the sake of more power aka our dear PM. This is what you get when you vote for a strongman. In real, median wealth terms, we are getting poorer by the day. As in India there are few numbers of settled industry; and others are mostly dependent on them and huge number of public seeking for jobs, therefore we are missing quality jobs or high paying jobs. Here we should observe that a government is only an authority who could plan some strategy or itself to forward industrial investments, service sector offerings etc. so that we could produce more as well as create more jobs. But we see the government just does not seem to be serious for particular responsibility; they are just happy with managing people in a manner and to apply punishments all over.

Vikashit Bharath 2047 is another Jumla like doubling of agri income , unemployment - 2 Cr , housing for all , beti padav beti bachav, etc and maxi amt is spent on branding of scheme and a man, than actual implementation of schemes.

I mean Narendra Modiji has to be one of the most prominent P.M. that our people has ever elected. In his first term we came across many positive changes. I don’t know whether demonetisation helps RBI regulate black money back to India or not. Am not sure about that. But what am pretty sure is that our economy is booming in several sectors such as Services, infrastructures and industrial sectors, and international recognition as well. Even though the growth and management in Agricultural sector was not much to satisfactory. From my perspective what went wrong was in his second term, when they started to decentralised the public sector in most of the public undertakings. And introduced Made in India policy, i mean that’s not bad it is giving first priority to Indian Companies and industries to produce and export more. I am sure they are creating jobs but not enough with booming population at this rapid rate. No foreign companies wants to invest in india with risk because our country taxes policy and tariffs are way too high, that is why no foreign companies want to take big risks when it comes to investment. When the US and the west started to shift its production factory from china to other destinations Indian policymakers should have grab the opportunity by relieving certain tariffs and taxes that our government has imposed. With these much population and low labour costs we are in need of this opportunity. Yet after post covid the world has suffered with many things such as wars and conflicts that hits india as well. And yet Modi government keep saying that India is doing good in every field which was a lie. With government incurring losses they keep on introducing multiple taxes inspite of inflation. Our rupee is all time low and loss of balance. Is it not to blame to any political parties or regime but it seems to me that our present government is more targeted towards religious and race issues. In every parliament discussion They keep on blaming Congress regime i mean that’s gone it’s in the past now they came into power it’s their duty to make things right. Indian’s are suffering until and unless these regime started to put more efforts on the welfare and development of Indians. Our country economy may collapse. More power and wealth keeps on flowing into the hands of cooperates. I hope every Intellectuals Indian are also having the same question.

India Inc spends more buy back shares rather than putting their profits investing in CAPEX . Thus, manufacturing is not offering few good quality jobs and people are going back to rural India. The jobs are limited to construction and agriculture.

I agree with a lot of things he said but I disagree that we shouldn't focus on manufacturing and particularly manufacturing semiconductor chips. Some of the manufacturing might not be labour intensive but others are, like traditional district products like textile, msme products etc. Even capital intensive manufacturing which are tech driven need attention because we can't fall behind in becoming a part of important global supply chains which are essential for national security and innovation. And capital intensive manufacturing creates capital for both govt and the country as a whole which can then be redirected in other labour intensive sectors for their revitalisation and job creation. Focusing on manufacturing doesn't mean we stop focusing on Services. Also undermining infrastructure creation would be ludicrous as it is the backbone of any economy.

Chips are a must. We have neglected this for an unreasonable timeand are over dependent on import. This is not good in the long term. A country of India's size and economy has to have this capacity to fulfill its needs. In case of war and conflicts this will come handy. Whats is the use of having is the largest force of IT and AI workers.

India definitely needs more good jobs, but nobody ever gives a solution as to what the government should be doing, what policies are needed at both the federal and state level to create good quality jobs.. Indian youth is not skilled and it is down to the education system that produces a labour force with no applicable skill set.. also there needs to be a change in attitude whrre only AC office white collar jobs are looked upon as respectable jobs and blue collar jobs like trade jobs, retail service jobs and blue collar jobs are looked down upon...

It is almost as though ( according to RR) no one in the government or the PMEC or the NITI AYOG is serious about outcomes , or that the numerous initiatives on infra, governance, reforms on banking, FDI etc. is working. Thats a huge indictment. There is a terrifick effort ,360 degrees, on the structural foundations which will result in long term outcomes. Govt is going flat out but has not recd corresponding effort and faith in investing from the private sector. The first ten years of NDA are gone in cleaning up the floor level muck . It will slowly start yielding results. The global scenario is bleak. China is over producing and dumping. Demand is tepid and confidence post covid is still low. We need a decade more to build a stronger base on which to catapult ourselves.

More jobs, higher quality jobs don't satisfy government job aspirants. Because higher quality jobs don't let you go without doing any work.
