In this episode of The Tenant, we meet a couple from Delhi who have made Mumbai their home.
The size of their Mumbai home is less than half of their Delhi one - so they couldn't even use their older furniture as it wouldn't fit.
Also, the tenant in this episode is done living in the cities and would like to move away.
Watch this latest episode as we have a very interesting conversation with very interesting tenant!

I have met few who came from Delhi-NCR to pune-mumbai and its very difficult to explain them anything. First they come with the weight of Delhi in their head and compare everything road, car, people, construction work progress with Delhi. They forget Delhi is the capital of India and Pune is not. Secondly, even if they live in Delhi or 100 kms (or even from Hisar or Merut) far from Delhi, they all say they are from Delhi. Thirdly, they are super confident experts - become area expert on 4th day of arrival in Pune and start passing Judgements. Fourth, they just don't have a habit of listening. Fifth, they already have planned return to Delhi before arrival and I have met few who are still planning after 5 years of stay in Pune. Sixth, they also have plans to take the Pune-Mumbai-Banglore based company to Noida-Gurgaon Seventh, they think they are fast and rest all is slow

2 BHK in Malad East at Raheja Tipco heights, used to cost 50k..I thought I am paying too much for 690 carpet. And then I checked out Powai and Andheri.Well I stayed in Malad and then 2 years back moved out..Mumbai is anything but easy ,especially for folks who come from outside. But once u get used to constant honking ,noice ,small apartments and exorbitant cost of living, it is alright.City makes u forward-looking. On Safety front ,it is absolute bliss.Did bike travel number of times around midnight from South Mumbai to western suburbs.Never an issue and never ever felt sense of insecurity.

yeah bro. my friends moved to hyderabad and vadodra. these places have low rent price compared to mumbai and recently Vadodra airport has been made international airport by government, so interantional flights can be boarded from vadodra. Im also thinking about moving to Vadodra. One of the stations at ahmedabad to mumbai bullet trains line is vadodra so if I have to come to mumbai. I can be in mumbai in 1 hour 15 minutes.

I was born and brought up in a huge independent house/cottage in Assam. Now I stay in a flat in Mumbai but yes, I dream of being able to afford a cozy cottage this side, have my own garden, backyard etc. However, many of my relatives are now swapping their big houses for flats because they are getting on in age. Having an independent house means far more maintenance and a little less security. Both flats and big houses have their pros and cons. For the latter, it's best when one has the time and energy to look after it.

@@sagarmaske5973 well I checked the same property cost is between 4 to 6 crores now.. 9 years ago it was around 2.5 crores.. reason I am so sure about it is that I stay nearby Powai and trust me property price is very inflated by these builders!

I have not seen a more uninterested, impolite and lack lustre host/anchor. Is this man the only person Money Control has to carry this otherwise interesting program? It's like he doesn't really want to be there and is going about the motions awkwardly for a pay check.

Its a small house from a 'rest of India' angle for a 3 BHK. Outside Mumbai, this is ideally a 2 BHK space. 3 BHK spaces on average in any other big city range between 1500-2500 sq ft.

I stay in Mumbai where even a 800sq ft 3bhk is considered very spacious....whereas in Pune, even a 2bhk is over a thousand sq feet and that's considered normal. That's why they said that.
