All depends on how much money you have and long you're willing to wait for a return. Real estate will give a big return, but you have to wait many years for the price to appreciate significantly. It's also seen as a safer investment than the stock market, which can be more volatile. Also stocks are also best suited for long term investment, you can earn good returns in the short to medium term as well with the right choices, and the barrier to entry is not as high as real estate.
