It is very difficult to time the market. Trent was trading around 1250 range last year, Though I liked everything about the stock did not enter due to high P/E. That one performed consistently well and trading around 6500 range. I changed the strategy now. If I like the share, Buy them for 2k even if it is over valued and buy on every dip. He consistently says Sun Pharma is costly and I'm sitting with 100 percent profit on the share. This strategy goes wrong as well, Failed with Asian Paints, Relaxo, Bata. However I have very limited allocation for super valued stocks so doesn't impact much on the portfolio. Exide, Amararaja Batteries - He said them costly when they were trading around 200, 600 now they doubled the money even if you bought them at that level.

Im a bit cautious on Tata Motors. This is not my current position but for the past couple of years. Would have gained a lot if i had bought it in this time period. Sir's reason's wrt to TaMo are 1. TaMo will split in the near future, this move is expected to unlock good value 2. TaMo has equity in few other Tata companies of good value 3. PE is attractive. 4. Debt is reducing My concern is the core business is not looking attractive to me. Even if im in market to buy a new car, i wouldnt buy TaMo cars, as there are very good alternatives. EV market where Tata has made good progress is also seeing strong competition. This is only going to increase with every other player having plans to compete in EV. This is just my perspective. Happy investing..

FIIs will not exit completely from any market. They are exiting now because corporate earnings are not meeting expectations. one year ku munnadi irundhe investors growth expect panni neraya shares vangitanga. Idhanala price high ah poidichi. P/E adhigam aidichi. P/E la E la growth irukkanum. illana P/E imbalance ah poidum. Inga growth prospects illa nu they are leaving. It is their perception at the moment. The shameless and selfish people will come back once they believe there is growth in E. If E increases P/E will be less and there will be more value in stocks.

Consider P/E. If earnings E falls P/E will become high. Market will be nervous because they paid too much P for low E. Less value. If E increases P/E will be low. Market will be happy. P/E also becomes low if P falls. Right now companies are posting less and less E. This is why FIIs are leaving. Most of the money is going to China which promises economic stimulus. The FIIs will come back once companies here post higher E or P becomes low (so that P/E becomes acceptable).
