These Mongolian people , because i think Mongolian people are very good in horseback . For example .1 they could stand in the horse’s body while the horse is running very fast. they could fight during the Mongolian war in the 13th-14th century while they are riding the horse. They could like shoot a bow while standing in the horse.

@@lunar_proxy Thanks, what other skills a horsemen should posess?
@lunar_proxy
@lunar_proxy 2 жыл бұрын
@@davidxu6477 the reason why i said neither are good horsemen is because they both practice outdated and abusive methods of training- in this video you can see it. instead of teaching a horse how to act by using kind methods that work according to horse language (including understanding of body language, pressure and release, and herd dynamics) and being patient, they use fear and pain in order to intimidate the horse into submission (or learned helplessness) for a "fast solution". in cowboy terms, it's called "breaking the horse," kinda speaks for itself. both use force to get their way. so in order to be a proper horseman, you'd need knowledge in how horses communicate, how they establish dominance in a herd, how to read and react to a horses body language, and how you can use this knowledge to train horses in a way that doesn't involve unnecessary stress and that makes the horse understand what you want, rather than just blindly obeying to avoid pain. there are obviously many other factors like knowing how to care for a horse (what to feed it, giving it the proper space to move, how often you need to exercise it, vet- and hoofcare etc.), riding is actually an incredibly small part in owning a horse

@@lunar_proxy You have no idea what you are talking about. These nomads have a herd of around 20-100 horses and almost all of them are wild. The nomad only has one or two "full time domesticated" horses. Whenever a nomad needs another full time horse, he/she picks a horse from the wild herd and tames it. American cowboys do this too. Every horse user does this except for those fancy rich people who have expensive sports horses for only show. And Mongolian horses are extremely strong and durable.
@lunar_proxy
@lunar_proxy 2 жыл бұрын
@@mongoliannomad989 no tf they don't, this is literal abuse. jumping on a wild horse and "breaking it" is abuse. that is not how you tame and train a horse. cowboys are equally bad, at least those who practices "breaking horses through force." many non-rich horse owners train their horses responsibly through humane means. i've worked with horses for years, i know how they work, and this is just inflicting stress and pain to the horse until it gives in. that is _NOT_ proper horse handling and it's far from horsemanship. proper training is understanding herd dynamics and how to use them to communicate to the horse, understandind how horses communicate through pressure and release (not pain and more pain), being patient, and mutual respect.
