Also each member of the main part of the band are considered national treasures as they are masters of their instruments both the throat singing and the playable instruments.

4 main members, and 4 touring members, the touring members play the guitar ,bass, drums, and percussion. And ,yes, they are awesome live. Saw them open for Halestorm a couple years ago. The 2 string being played with a bow is called a Morin Khuur, or horsehead fiddle. The 3 string being played like a guitar, the arrow shaped one, is a Tovshuur. Jaya (throat singer) also plays a Tumur Hhuur (jaw harp) and a Tsuur (end blown flute). This song is one of several that were redone with new English lyrics and guest singers. This one with Jacoby Shaddix(Papa Roach) is awesome too. Song of Women with Lzzy Hale(Halestorm), This is Mongol with Wm Duvall (Alice In Chains), Yuve Yuve Yu with Danny Case (From Ashes to New), and Black Thunder with Serj Tankian(System of a Down) and DL from Bad Wolves.

I discovered the HU band some years ago and they're terrific, alone or with guest singers. You can find the English translation online. The theme is basically what we will do if you attack us. Their instruments are traditional Mongolian, the horse head fiddle is the most obvious one. If you want to find their song about Ghengis Khan you will see it as Chinggis Khan, which is how it should be pronounced.

Great reaction yall, so glad yall enjoyed it. The version with Jacoby Shaddix has a different energy and the one with Lzzy Hale, song of Women, is fabulous.

I found the first video they dropped, about 2 days after they did.. that was back 5 years ago. I have been hooked ever since. If you ever get the chance to go to their concert. I recommend. You will need your armor afterwards because damn. I suggest going back and watching again with CC on.. they translate and you think it was primal now.. Great job guys.

The Hu are Mongolia’s biggest cultural export. They were founded in 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, by four classically trained musicians. They combine traditional Mongolian chanting, throat singing and instruments with modern electric bass and guitar, to create something that is both metal and oddly hypnotizing. Their first videos posted on youtube in 2018 went globally viral, and today their videos collectively have almost 100x as many views as the entire population of Mongolia. They have done several international tours in both Europe and North America. Much of their music is about Mongolian history, traditions and culture. They sing about respecting their ancestors while also being modern. “Yuve Yuve Yu” is about people who mindlessly boast about their glorious past without doing anything to achieve greatness today. Personnel: Galbadrakh "Gala" Tsendbaatar - morin khuur (traditional horsehead fiddle); throat singing Nyamjantsan "Jaya" Galsanjamts - tumur hhuur (flute) tsuur (jew’s harp); throat singing Enkhsaikhan "Enkush" Batjargal - morin khuur; throat singing Temuulen "Temka" Naranbaatar - tovshuur (Mongolian lute); backing vocals They are joined by four additional musicians for live tours. Here are some of their most popular videos: “Wolf Totem” kzbin.info/www/bejne/oH6blXZ9ftJpr8U “Yuve Yuve Yu” (How strange, how strange) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGXbi4ioZad4nKc “The Great Chinggis Khaan” kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnWUmHeJltRkm6M “Shoog Shoog” kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqjVZYaGgJaSirs They were commissioned to write a theme song for the Star Wars Video Game franchise, and even wrote an alien language for it: “Sugaan Essena” kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXu9l3ieaKqWn7c They have also done some epic covers of Metallica. Here are two: “Through the Never” kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqeuqoWabZZqodE “Sad But True” kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6HbcpKQrayLla8 And finally, a collaboration with the great Lzzy Hale of Halestorm: “Song of Women” kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5WxYohvg9uof8U Clip from one of their recent tours, when I saw them live: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYWki5-Bj56Mppo

At about 8:30, “If you come with evil intentions we’ll give you a fight.” Here’s some stuff I read. Mongolia has been invaded but never conquered. It’s the most sparsely populated country. 30% of the people are nomadic. The president of Mongolia is one of the bikers. Genghis Kahn and the Mongols took over more contiguous territory than anyone ever. If you joined them their reputation protected you. If not, you died.

There are subtitles for this song, why are they not on ?
@weaintraisedrightpodcast8 ай бұрын
So, because we are in 4 different locations we are upstreaming and downstreaming. It's a logistical nightmare. Ogre downloads the videos to his PC so as to eliminate some of those issues. The downloads don't come with CCs, unfortunately. At the time, he did not realize that it would be important. As so many have pointed out for this video, it would have helped. Because of that, we are choosing fewer songs that need CC. Those that do absolutely need it require a re-rendering process where Ogre has to manually transcribe the english lyrics to the download. It's quite time consuming but we are endeavoring to do it so that we can put out a better product.

Hahaha who knew I was psychic? Hahaha this was the one I was going to suggest too. The bird sound is them too as far as I know. I think that the 2 stringed instrument is Chinese in origin, or is related to a Chinese instrument with 2 strings. I find it so cool that you can hear the throat singing when he’s also saying the words. There was a group that was on America’s got talent who did throat singing with Zombie by cranberries. That was cool too, if you ever get the chance to look at them.
