So would the no gi version of this be an underhook or wrist control ?and the other hand around the lower back and repeat the throwing motion?
@nickyonezuka-cranfordjkc49312 жыл бұрын
Right arm around the back, left or pulling arm, overhook or grab tricep

Off topic but can we get your opinion on judo newaza for self defense vs bjj
@nickyonezuka-cranfordjkc49313 жыл бұрын
Bjj came from judo and focused on newaza. So it’s basically the same under different rules for sport. So as far as self defense, who ever is better has a better chance to win.

How does height play a role in this?
@nickyonezuka-cranfordjkc49312 жыл бұрын
Height doesn’t matter. Just keep opponent tight and close, lift, turn and throw

Is this also referred to as yagura-nage?
@jordanleonard65402 жыл бұрын
Dude that's what I was thinking too. I've seen it in sumo matches
@lbpltd343 ай бұрын
no, yagura nage tori starts by over hooking uke’s left arm and takes uke over to tori’s right side . completely different throws. this one i think tori could do a mowari spin to his left/forward to facilitate the throwing of uke to front.

When you say you're too old to perform this throw, what do you mean by that?
@acjitsu3 жыл бұрын
Probably means he might hurt himself.
