For all the ones complaining for the creator of this motion using helms deep in the castle, have in mind that apart from the kingdoms castle in which the structure can be altered to form a wall, most Lego castles are extremely small and unrealistic, and helms deep is the most decent representation of a castle wall and front gate

Amazing video but the inclusion of mounted archers (cavalry with bows) would have been nice due to them being the common fighting style of the Mongolians but still an absolutely incredible video!

Actually this is probably a pretty good summary of how a siege of a European castle would have gone - the Mongols were used to mobile warfare on the plains, and hated sieges because they were usually so costly. That's partly why their behaviour was so savage whenever they captured a city after a fight. It's also why they often turned to their Persian and Chinese subjects for help, and even they would have had hard work with some of the castles found in Germany and Italy. The Mongols would have won most of the pitched battles, but they would probably have become bogged down in multiple sieges, as happened to them in Korea.

the mongols fought on horseback, they're known for their legendary cavalry charge, and the mongol invasion was successful, they only turned back when their leader died of an illness
