Monica Bellucci, who is back on our screens in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton's iconic film Beetlejuice, takes us backstage as she prepares for the opening night of the Venice Film Festival. Dressed in a Vivienne Westwood gown and Cartier jewelry, she tells us of her character in the film - a frightening ghost who is thirsty for revenge - with playful humor. As a native Spanish speaker, she makes French easier to understand to my ears due to the Italian accent, since I can envision clearly which vowel and consonants are used, therefore, get a clear idea of which word is being said. Native French just has too many silent consonants and vowel combinations that sound nothing like they look like.
