My most beloved black lipstick is from stargazer ^^. It is dirt cheap, but unlike most cheaper brands it works just fine (at first it needs to melt a bit from the body temperature. I was disappointed with the sheer patchy colour when I used it the first time), last good for a glossy lipstick and the application is fearly easy. It can also be combined with another lipstick without any issues. I also used to love the black lipstick from essence but sadly it was discontinued.

The only thing I like better than a good tip on a black lipstick to pick up is getting a heads up on what NOT to pick up. I detest getting excited for a new black lipstick only to find it's over glorified vaseline with a little grey in it! I love this series!

I'd recommend the Nekoyanin black lipstick and lipgloss set. The black lipstick lasted through several glasses of wine on Thanksgiving. The gloss is also super pigmented

Aww yay- I'm glad you enjoyed the video! As I'm not a huge fan of sheer formulas I probably won't do a full video on them, but throughout all my black lipstick videos I have swatches and I talk about which ones are more sheer! I hope you can find one that works best for you :)

I just bought the KVD hyper black lipstick. I thought it looked like it had a green tint to it. It wasn’t my favorite. I have many hyper last KVD lipstick and I love them, but not this black. I’m looking for powder black long lasting lipstick, but it doesn’t seem like that exists really. I don’t like the shine on the blacks.

Thank you so much Monica, I'm this close to buy the new KVD black liquid lipstick. About Kiko Milano, I haven't tried their liquid lipstick but their velvet passion matte lipstick were horrible for these kinds of shades. I bought them at an Italy airport in 2020, there was a sale so they were about 6 euro per each, I bought the black, green, and blue shades, and all of them has non-existent pigment, did not even show up on my lips. If you ever want to review the lipstick versions, search up if they ever reformulated.

I didn't see this video before deciding which one of the KVD lipsticks I'd get so I ordered the new one and it was impossible to find a good comparison and review of both the old and the new one :'D hopefully it is decent enough for me until I have enough money to get another black lipstick

My favorite black lipstick was Black Cat from Pretty Zombie Cosmetics but I believe they’ll be closing down soon. 😭 If you can get your hands on a tube though, I’d highly recommend it! My second favorite is Blackmoon’s Sleepwalker. 🖤 I also recently tried Ghoul from Sushyglow and it was pretty nice too, but it’s a very watery formula.

You've already tested my 3 favs but for ones I haven't tried yet, I'd love to see you test: 2AM matte liquid lip from Coloured Raine, Back to Black from The Lip Bar, Nosferatu media matte from Creature Cosmetics (definitely will want to use oil to remove this formula, from my experience with other shades), Raven from Baby Bat Beauty, Vampyre Cosmetics' vampire vineyards Dracula matte lip, Bastet & Cauldron from Tater Rounds Beauty (have tried other shades and loved them; openly not transfer proof but other shades were quite comfy), Poison in the bullet formula from Apple Doll Cosmetics (can't find swatches of the black, but the nudes shades appear to wear lovely), and Universal Knowledge bullet lipstick from Lunatick Cosmetic Labs

Honestly I prefer to use a liquid lipstick as a liner! The original KVD was the best, the reformulation sucks now. Otherwise the Black Moon Cosmetics one makes a pretty good lip liner as well
