The steak scene is even more gut-wrenching when you realise Steven is a vegan (though Marc is probably not). The fact that his world is collapsing (which, btw., was a pretty good portrayal of DID since people can have different identities front and lose days from their memories) and the last thing he wants to think about is his principles, he might as well indulge.

It was a really good scene. I don’t think Marc asked Dylan out though. If you watch the end credits it shows a ring and in an interview Oscar said Marc is married to Layla. Most likely it was Jake Lockley who asked her out. Steven might be the only vegan out of the personalities.

Something I loved is how they put us in the perspective of Steven throughout the entire episode. Because Marc is the main host body, and the one who was resurrected by Khonshu, it puts us the viewer in Steven’s shoes as if we’re experiencing his mental troubles and questioning of reality with him. Very genius imo. And I’m sure we’ll get to see Marc’s comic origin and becoming MK (or a version of it) through flashbacks. As someone who’s been a fan of Moon Knight for years, I was incredibly happy with how this first episode was, and love that they saved the suit reveal towards the end. Honestly gets a 10/10 from me

The reason he can't "leave Marc in charge" is because switching can be very involuntary. With a lot of work in therapy and gaining communication with a system alters switches can sometimes be scheduled a bit more. But yeah, its often involuntary because the person gets triggered and starts to dissociate...and then a switch happens. Also it can be very exhausting for alters to stay fronting for very long periods of time...this, of course, differs from system to system...some don't switch very often and can go months without a switch...some have multiple switches in a day. But from those who do switch regularly... It can be tiring to be fronting for long amounts of time. Marc being the host( the host is an alter who fronts the most and does day to day stuff) probably wouldn't get too tired which is why he could get Steven back to London, try and replace the fish, and manage to get back into bed before a switch happened.

DID is very interesting to learn about, and it’s always good to be well informed - especially so no one accidentally says something insensitive due to lack of knowledge. hope you enjoy the rest of the series monica! :)

Introduced werewolf by night moon knight trained as a boxer before he joined the army. Stephen in the comics is a playboy but now he works at a museum. Two reflections on the period could be marc and jake with Stephen. A lot of reflections from mirrors I love it. The bob dylan song was a nice touch. Y’all see the crocodiles everywhere lol ammit from Egyptian mythology. The theme of waking up is there but really Stephen has did dissociative identity disorder. He has sand around his bed. He has a goldfish that have been said to have bad memories funny enough Stephen has trouble with his memory. Close, but also far off for the original cinderella. It wasn't glass inside the slippers, it was chopping off toes and pieces of their heels to fit into the slippers. And then the ending had eyes being plucked out by birds and the like. Though honestly...I think the pain level might be the same from walking on glass like that to what happened in that story.

It was odd that we started off with the Steven Grant persona as opposed to Marc Spector himself. Weird enough Grant is an identity he uses to infiltrate the upper echelons of society.
