10 is one of my fave episodes. It’s heartbreaking like I sobbed with it. The fact that they love each other so fucking much, but now more than ever life really fucking got in the way and they are so lost in how to connect. And after so long, the love still feels so raw. Aaaaaaaah.

I always feel like in the scene when he said to Sylvie that he loved her, he actually said it to Emma deep in his heart. Cause he was just recalled that night with Emma and giggled like a kid. I don't know if that make sense, but I think his love was never for Sylvie.

When I watched the show the 1st time I didnt bother much about the fact that Dexter was engaged at this point and they (Dex and Em) still kissed. Because I knew that they are meant to be together , 1 in a million. I know i know its not good morals etc. to kiss another person when you're engaged. ((but stuff like that happens in real life all the time.)) But they are both meant to be together AND they are both deeply in love with each other since they first met in episode 1. and I hoped that Dex' engagement was more a temporary thing. When Dex tells Em he is engaged, did ya'll see in Emma's face that she was so devestated and heartbroken ?? Btw: in some episodes I had basically separation anxiety whenever Dex and Em were not together on screen in any episode lol 😅😅 Yes, at the end of the Wedding episode, they have a friendship reunion. But THAT kiss....oh boy...was NOT a friendly kiss. In fact that was the First kiss since Episode 1. So thats 10 (TEN) years ago. Isn't that crazy?

Uhm, if your boyfriend or girlfriend cheated on you by kissing someone else and used the excuse that they were meant to be and were in love all along, would be okay with that? I'm assuming your answer would be no. Cheating is disgusting no matter the reason; it's an irredeemable act. You should not be excusing it and the fact that you are is... sad. I know you meant no harm but cheating is honestly such an awful thing and we should not be excusing it so blindly. Do we want them together? Of course. But do we want them to cheat on their partners in the process? Most definitely not. Any relationship that was started on cheating will never last.

@@lee-mm5nr Except the relationship didn't start when they cheated. Remember there should be layers to these the characters. This isn't the kind of show meant to educate children and young adults on how to be a "proper" adult. This was never that kind of show. Any discussion on morality shouldn't distract you from what the story really is about. Both dexter and emma are, at this point, young adults trying to grow up and better themselves but they still make mistakes and have regrets. Nevertheless they want to do the "right" thing while also trying to be happy because they are good people. The whole point of Dexter and Sylvie was to show that Dexter was ~trying to be more mature by pushing himself into a relationship and trying to step up and be a good husband and father, despite the fact that they weren't right for each other. He had a baby on the way so he had to try. The kiss was cheating but it wasn't an affair. It was more of a goodbye actually. And yes, sometimes it's redeemable based on context. Not in a way that saves Dexter and Sylvie's relationship, but in a way that makes Dexter not such an awful person. If you watched the show, you know how much he did in fact try.

I dunno how I'd feel if my pregnant self came across my fiance and his long term female friend having a snog for 'old times sake' 😂😮 Especially if said fiancé had affectively abandoned me at a wedding where I knew no one🤨 Having said that, Dex felt obligated to marry Sylvie, they knew it wasn't end game. She/calum must hv been flirting whilst Dex/em were in the maze as following year she was lying to Dex and leaving her infant child to spend a night in a hotel w him.

I saw the movie after watching the show and I couldn’t get behind the movie and Anne hathaways accent. The actor playing dex also kinda over acted a bit. Leo and Ambika are just perfection.

Leo and Ambika bodied Dexter and Emma. I watched the movie years ago and I liked it but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me except for the dreadful accent ~that last bit. I don't want to rewatch the movie because I know the comparison will pale with the show.
