Yeah i have gold 50. On the look side this magnetic grill is fantastic idea. There are no ugly screws on a front. Great looking and sounding speakers

all I know is, Monitor Audio was the best for me. To my ears, they sounded twice as good as everything else I heard in their price range.

Same here, listened to about 25 pairs in the listening room on my own amp. This one beat them all lol

I have the MA Gold 300’s dark walnut too and I love em. I’m driving them with an Anthem MRX 1120 but I’d love to try a dedicated amp one of these days. I’m using two Velo DD10’s for bass because as you said, they are weaker on bass than full towers. I love the clarity of these speakers for vocals and instruments.

Hello, how about this and the prima luna dialogue pre/power? Does it match well? And compairing with the focal kanta 2, does it realy explains and justifie the price diference (same amp)?

True story: I bought my Silver RX8's about 5 years ago, they've been in the same spot in my music room since day one. Decided to pull the grills off, wife came down and asked where the speakers came from!

Hi very nice review. I current have a pair of Silver 200s and a Center C150. As I listen more to stereo and less movies, I am thinking of going up to the Gold 200s but I want to hang on to the C150. Can I make it blend?

Would the Gold 200's provide good sound to a 12x15ft listening room with an open area rear wall? Driving with Anthem MCA 325 gen2 power amp. Feedback appreciated 👍🏿

Can you help me get the tweeters. I have the same speakers but the tweeters are damaged. I am from India.

I just heard these today. Pretty amazing sounding for the size. I was really at Monmouth Stereo on the Jersey Shore to listen to the Silver 200 and couldn’t resist - there really is no comparison. The Gold 200 is a really exceptional sounding speaker - extremely detailed and smooth treble, low end that just seems disproportionate for their size. I stopped before I was tempted to buy something out of my price range lol

"spanked her fanny" Argh, Fanny means something very different in Australia clearly lol. I have auditioned the full size version of these speakers and they sound SERIOUSLY good, and I agree, leave off the grills, I much prefer to see the speakers.

They go back on when I'm not listening. Don't want dust buildup and it helps just a little to prevent damage

Yes he is better than the Focal 936, is also more expensive. Of course, Focal also makes beautiful speakers. Best Regards Phil

Great review, I recently bought this paid and all you said is spot on! What is the recommended integrated amp for these bas boys?
@scottg.95164 жыл бұрын
I've tried Rotel integrated, Peachtree and Primaluna's mid and top of the line integrated. Primaluna was by far my favorite, and the tubes look awesome. The Rotel sort of clashed with it, even though I love Rotel for my Harbeth P3ESRs. Peachtree matched better with LS50s. I'd go with Primaluna.

@arthurwatts16806 жыл бұрын
Right, so 'gals' are calling up all the time looking for bookshelf speakers ? It would seem that we've discovered the mythical female audiophile, a creature so rare that they're usually only found on the side of the counter that gets paid for nodding and smiling at all the right moments ;)

Do what I did get rid of my wife!!!! and buy the biggest baddest set of speakers you can find preferably a pairing of Klipsch or Legacy Believe me you'll like the sound that's coming from those speakers rather than her mouth
@scaf_007vs35 жыл бұрын
I don't want to judge, but I can't help from reading ur comment.. you'd rather get rid of your wife than compromise with a different (smaller and less expensive likely) design and enjoy quality music with the person you wanted to spend the rest of ur life with...? SMH... to each his own I guess. I just feel like some priorities are completely backwards these days
