HELLO BROTHER IT IS GOOD TO MEET YOU BUT IT'S EVEN BETTER TO MEET ME. MONK IS A WAY OF LIFE FOR ME. Extra tips: Mantra also increases shielding spells. Pop before large raid-wides to help your shield healers and your pure healers. Earth's reply's AoE for healing is very small, but extremely potent for a DPS heal especially if your team is together. Real Melees don't need a ranged attack. Six Sided star has never felt better then it does in DT. Monks are badasses, greed that uptime baby. Blood bath and second wind are available to all Melees and are insanely powerful for self healing. Feint is party mit that all melees get. Please use Feint, it's awesome. Your healers will appreciate it. Mouse over macros will turn you into a god with thunderclap, make sure you hover the party list when using it like this, boss hit-boxes are huge. Max auto attack range is not the same as max melee range, auto attacks will stop before abilities become unavailable.This is really important for riddle of wind. When you are forced to move away from the boss, over compensate by moving in pretty far to ensure that you're back in auto attack range. This also reduces movement for positionals. All melees have positionals, Monk's positioanls are on our non-aoe Coeurl skills. Demolish is your rear. Both Snap Punch and Pouncing Coeurl are flanks. Stick to the right or left opening of the semi-circle of the boss's hitbox to reduce how much movement you need to do to land positional. If the boss's circle is a full circle, you will get full potency without doing positionals.

Thank you that was very helpful. I cleared current tier on rpr, but feels boring af. While playing monk I just kept spamming pb on cooldown, and did opener incorrectly, was getting used to the speed, your video helped a lot to understand how to play monk correctly Can you tell please what would change at 1 min if I use double lunar in my opener, and on 2 min, and if I use double lunar in opener, that means I would have to use double lunar all the time on even minutes ? Can’t seem to grasp the concept of double lunar

Essentially, overcapping a nadi in the opener by doing double lunar would push Phantom Rush from the odd minute burst into the subsequent even minute bursts. The only significant change with the double lunar rotation is that in your odd minute burst you would use Rising Phoenix instead to generate the solar nadi, which then lets you use Phantom Rush in the even minute burst. Then in the even minute burst, you would basically repeat the opener, the difference being that the first PB would give Phantom Rush instead of Elixir Burst. It's confusing at first, but give it a try on a striking dummy and you'll get the hang of it! As an aside, double lunar is going to generally be the best rotation in most scenarios, so if you plan to raid on monk I'd definitely recommend sticking to that until you feel comfortable optimizing further!

Great video man! I’m trying to figure out what my first melee dps is going to be, (I main paladin) and I think it’s going to be Monk. Looks so fun. I’ve got one question though, what is that ability in the beginning of the video where you charge up and punch through the target and they blow up afterwards? It’s probably the coolest ability I’ve ever seen but I don’t see it in the rest of the video.

I'm more focused on the melees right now since they're what I'm best at, but I'll consider a Pictomancer guide too in the future!
