Ok real talk I need help I wanna get into RuneScape but what is the meta I guess like does everyone play Og RuneScape or the newer one

At the moment the larger community is Old School Runescape., but both communities are doing well right now. I've played both OSRS and RS3, I like them both, they are just very different. If you're looking for a more "classic" vibe, Old School Runescape is a great place. It is not exactly 'og' anymore, as there are a lot of new things in old school runescape, but unlike previously the updates stay true to the core game. Player also vote on content. This is important because the (simplified) version the reason split was an update to the old game that made a majority of players quit. There is a bit of a learning curve, but the official old school runescape wiki is a great resource, for how to get started with quests, skilling, and more, and the Jagex team has recently implemented new beginner systems in-game to help new players. There are also many classic youtube channels such as SlayerMusiQs quest videos, Theoatrix, and many more, as well as smaller channels like mine that sometimes help cover specific content (my largest videos where about how to do specific 'mini-games'). There is a large breadth of content creators, such as Settled, Torvesta, Framed, and many more, that produce a variety of content ranging between player versus monster, player, and tons of ways to play the game that you'd never even think of. The community, by and large, is fantastic -- of course, in any community you do have a somewhat vocal minority that makes us look bad. Overall, I would recommend Old School Runescape as a place to start. The free to play experience is going to be a lot more interactive because of the increased players, and old school is just a very fun vibe that's not quite like any other game out there right now. Membership is optional, but very fun if you get into the game, and the official partner client, Runelite (only download from runelite.net) is an awesome way to bring the game to the modern century with updated graphics and a bunch of QoL updates. The Old School team is currently working on bringing many of those updates to the official game, but plans to continue supporting the Runeliet client indefeinetly. As for the game-- my recommendation, load into old-school, right click examine everything (because it's hilarious), keep the wiki ready to search (like Minecraft), left click some goblins, and try to swing the fastest (not biggest) sword you can find (hint- scimitars are awesome). @@dangeros6691 I just realized you replied to my other channel thank you I’ve been playing osrs for a month now and I love it I’m totally addicted in hindsight I wish I would of started this game years ago I feel so far behind lol
