I wish our commercials were still like that today, Now day you have to guess what they are trying to advertise. I think the monkees should still do Kelloggs commercials. When i was a kid, i hated rice crispies, my uncle found a tape he made of a movie with this commercial in between parts. =] it quickly became my favorite.

The same age problem was evident when I attended a classic film marathon. The print of ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST (1969) looked like this print. Some audience members thought it was an actual effect that the director was adding to the film.

This was a parody of the famous 1966 Shell gasoline "Platformate" commercial, where two cars [one with a gallon of Shell- the other, "without Platformate"] would be tested against each other. After the car with the "other gas" ran out of it and stopped, a banner was placed in front of it. When the one with "Shell" came to the banner, it burst through, and kept going! PROOF, that Shell with "Platformate" was the one to buy.....
