Gosh saw Davy, Micky and Peter nine times in concert, met Davy twice...no idea that Davy would face a sudden, early death at 66. How my spirits soared when I heard these men--old enough to be my father--sing and when I watched them perform. They never disappointed me. I especially loved hearing Davy sing "Valleri." I haven't seen the "re-formed" group yet now with Mike but it seems like these moments, as seen in this poignant video, went with Davy. RIP Davy*tears*

This "time passage thing" I was 16 back in '67 and loved the Monkees...but of course, back then we didn't have the internet and all this information about personalty clashes and so on...Now with Peter gone, it's just the memories...Rest In Peace Davy & Peter....

Its 4 am here In Alabama during the greatest crisis of our lifetime watching one of the greatest showman of our lifetime. I'm 64 now...only two years younger than Davy when he passed. The Monkees were a needed ingredient in my life as a young girl. I would live for Monday nights. I love they kept the tours going as they got older..both Davy and Mickey esp aged well..Peter here was unfortunately already fighting a ten year battle of the cancer that would take him from us. I love the comedic banter that went on here.. Mickey could be hilarious 🤣 Blessings and Love to everyone ✌❤

Can I still comment? I just decided to take out my tambourine and play and sing along with the songs. What memories they brought back...additionally I look at Davy with his bounding energy and still can't believe he would pass on not even a year later. I do think his spirit is there at the "reformed" Monkee gigs.

When I was 5 months pregnant with my now 19yr old son in 2002 I FINALLY got to see my Monkees in concert. I was 25yrs old having been what I call a "Monkee Junkee" since I was about 8yrs old. Its actually one of my favorite childhood memories. My dad was watching an episode & laughing so I decided to sit and watch it with him. (If I was 8yrs than it was probably 1985-86) It was hilarious! I was fast to love it and I think he knew that so right after he played & gave me "The Monkees: Greatest Hits" on an 8-track. I actually still have it. It was my dream come true to see them. Mike wasn't there but Mickey, Peter, & Davy were and it's the most fun I've ever had. I was definitely not disappointed in any way. I hoping that I will able to find a way to see them one more time cuz this IS the goodbye tour and I truly believe that they mean it. If you ARE a fan and have the opportunity to see them live? I recommend it 2000%

I was there, and one of the "both of you" Micky referred to! He also acknowledged my reaction another time in this show, I think when they announced they'd perform some songs from HEAD, and I went nuts! Lol... This was my only Monkees concert I ever managed to get myself to, and I was in Heaven the whole time. I'm about to hit 60, and beginning to look forward to concerts in Heaven. Thanks Micky, Davy, Peter, and Mike.

Oh how I wanted to go see them during that tour... I'm the only 20-something I know who actually knows the words to all of these songs. It's weird, but I know even more of their music than my mother who was a young teen at the time of the show's broadcast and, as were so many others, was absolutely enamoured with Davy.

I love this group and was glad I grew up watching them on tv. They were a great wholesome band. Peter knows how to play many instruments and never heard he had a drinking problem. To be thin is to be healthy. Being obese can lead to an early death. They all put on a great show and always did. Micky is hilarious, Davy has performed onstage the night the Beatles performed the first time on the Ed Sullivan. I have the dvd. Amazing...Davy was singing on the same show with the cast of the play Oliver

I was at the Monkees' NYCB Theater concert, which I think took place the day before the Coney Island concert; that was the ninth time I saw them perform in concert as a trio between 1986-2011. I always knew that Davy, Micky and Peter would put on a wonderful show. They did the same order of songs and jokes at the NYCB Theater as in this video but believe me, I wouldn't have tired of them. I think some people might have gotten tired watching Davy because he was literally running around the stage--for those who aren't familiar with the NYCB layout, it's a rotunda and concerts are often performed in the round with the stage slowly rotating--and I could hear people saying, "Where does he get all that energy?" I also saw Davy perform solo in concert and met him personally--to me, he'd presented himself as a warm, genuine person who loved and appreciated his fans and their support. I think that my having met Davy and watching perform with such energy made my hearing the news about his death more heartbreaking and shocking--I've no doubt of the effects that this had on those who'd known on more personal levels. Just recently I found Facebook pictures that I took of the concert and downloaded them on my computer...I'll definitely have them printed for an album...rest in peace, David Thomas Jones.
