Haha I live in Bradford and I find regardless of racial background they still have a West Yorkshire accent. I can't explain why but I always find it most strange when someone's accent doesn't match their apparent background i.e Chinese descended people with Scouse or Geordie accents. You kind of expect the stereotypical Chinese accent and you get "Ahhllreeet kidda! howay then, we gannin doon the pub?" Throws me every time lol.

Funny thing about this is I too lived in Bradford, and I worked in a call centre for RBS. One of my pakistani colleagues was always getting pissed off because customers kept asking to be put through to England to someone that spoke English. Their other call centres were in Birmingham and Manchester, so it always made me laugh when RBS and Natwest were using 'English call centres' as a selling point.

Without question or shadow of doubt, the worst company to EVER have to deal with on the phone. I spent 10 years with 3 and had a system; every time I had a problem that I knew would be a nightmare call to deal with, I went into store and made them call in instead. Things got dealt with much quicker that way, even if it did completely inconvenience my day!

@augustustoplady1. I think you might have something there. I worked for RBS (who own NatWest) and our adverts always said that you would only deal with UK call centres. What they didn't tell you that the processing work done when you called a call centre was getting sent to India. So the crappy phone jobs were kept in the UK and the actual semi-skilled banking jobs were being sent to India.

Haha, poor sods can't win with me. I used to see loads of black guys in fried chicken shops in London (There are about 100 KFC knock off's to a street) and think "God damn it! Stop enforcing the stereotype!" Then when other races aren't actually stereotypical, I am like "Damn it! That sounds wrong!" lol I used to have a black barman working for me, and one girl referred to 'his lot' being bad fathers' His response? "What? Men from Leeds?" in his thick Yorkshire accent. Her face was a picture!
