That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm not trying to support, refute, nor qualify whether or not it is better for the animal to be in captivity or not (albeit a marginal difference in this case); I'm merely pointing out that it's ridiculous for people to call this abuse. The vice I was mocking was one in which people call this abuse. They aren't saying it's morally wrong, they aren't saying it's selfish, they are calling this abuse, which is isn't. However, re-reading what I wrote, I can see where you got that from. I didn't chose the best wording
