This is a new rom hack made by Bites. This hack has custom levels on all of the stage slots, and 10 additional levels for beginner/advanced/expert.

*THIS* is the successor to the first two Super Monkey Ball games I always wanted to see. Kudos to Bites for such a well designed hack!

There was an official sequel to the frist two Super Monkey Ball games called Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (DX), but it was only available on PS2 and X-BOX. It contained all the Levels from the aforementioned games as well as a bunch of new ones, bringing the total amount of stages to 300. Don't get too excited though, because with how many stages the first two games have, the amount of new ones only clocks at 45. Also, they changed a few stages, the most notable being Master EX 10, "Nintendo." Because of copyright, the GameCube platform you roll on was changed to resemble a 6-sided die and was renamed, "Destiny." Also, they completely butchered some of the SMB1 Music, since the Space theme is gone and replaced with the Arctic theme, while the Arctic plays the Sky-High theme and I don't know why! Oh, and Story Mode doubles the amount of stages you go through with 20 per World instead of the previous 10, but the SMB2 Party Games remain untouched. Because of instances such as these, I actually consider this, and several other SMB2 hacks to be superior, but mostly because it's all-new Levels and the sound wasn't tampered with in the slightest! Hell, if you really want, there IS a hack of SMB2 that includes all the DX Levels, but it fixes the sound issues, though any Dole or Nintendo references remain cut for copyright reasons.

Except Flow and Elsa's Castle From Frozen. Flow is a little glitched, and the name for the latter doesn't sound official. But the fact that there's only 2 that don't fit is still very impressive. Bites is amazing at this!

Kinda wish Super Monkey Ball 2 did that for its Master Extra Levels instead of just rehashing the World 10 aesthetic since the second half of Master Levels also takes place there, but oh well.

This is amazing! A great tribute to SMB1. Preferably, I wish Master Extra's music could have been the credits theme from SMB1 instead of the bonus stage theme. That song is completely underrated and I've always wanted it to be used in stages with the star background from that game.

That probably would've been a bit much for the game to handle, fan-made hack or otherwise. But it's really cool that the Bonus Area was used as the aesthetic for Master Extra, seeing that the original Japanese-only arcade Monkey Ball used it for its Master Level too! And yes, I said Master Level in singular since there was only one Master Level in the arcade release, and it was the infamous Master 9 from SMB1, otherwise known as "Bridge Master" from Super Monkey Ball Deluxe.

Yeah, and the final Master Extra Level; despite being entirely new, is also a small nod to the original Master Level; being a series of increasingly thinner paths you have to take to reach the goal; albeit mostly invisible and much longer. I absolutely LOVE the Mario Party 4 reference with Bookworm. Also, Elsa's Castle kind of resembles a Touch & Roll level, although I don't remember which. And Rift feels really epic. Not to mention, the theme they went with for the Master Extra stages is genius, and it adds a really nice aesthetic to stages like Temples! This is a fantastic hack, and it's easy to appreciate thanks to your excellent gameplay allowing for a seamless flow through the levels.

Yes, but I think this game is amazing in that the difficulty curve is smoother than the official games in both challenge mode and story mode. Even though the high end of that curve is higher than the official games. I remember in Super Monkey Ball 2, the first really hard stage I encountered was in World 3: Reversible Gear. The next few were in world 4: Launchers, Seesaw Bridges, and Arthropod (and sometimes Giant Comb). I didn't encounter levels that hard in this hack until worlds 6 and 7, which is much better. World 10 in this game is WAY harder than World 10 in the original, though. YIKES!!

Absolutely fantastic level pack. I'll have to admit I was able to beat every stage except for ME6 hook, I had to use save stats to get past that point. Bites was not playing games when he made the master stages. Love the creativity on the levels tho

It makes sense to have it only take 50 bananas for a 1up instead of 100 because these levels are supposed to be harder than the original Super Monkey Ball's 1 and 2. Even some of the beginner levels are way more challenging than the original.

I heard from Geoff that if you press the Z button, the game changes from Super Monkey Ball 2 style to Super Monkey Ball 1 style control-wise. Pressing Z again changes it back.

One of the creators on the SMB Level Workshop remade Super Monkey Ball DX on Super Monkey Ball 2. However, since they couldn't force Story Mode to have 20 stages and only require you to beat 10, they removed all the SMB2 levels from Story Mode. Challenge Mode remains unchanged, though.

Hello Super Monkey Ball 3 we should've gotten! :) My notes or comments (Idk) on the video Expert EX 6 has the same title as one of the stages on SMB2 and plays a little similar but I still liked it "Oh Screw this" is SMB 1, Master 9 but harder, *WHY.*, Speaking of which clever idea using SMB1 bonus level stage and music Master EX.4 :( Master EX stages are actually treated like master EX stages except for hook... and wiggly the names of Expert 8 and Expert 46 left me confused as hell as I was thinking before Expert 46 "Expert 8 should be windmills" then Expert 46 came and I was like ...

Either use the Dolphin emulator (that's what I do) or use a Homebrewed Wii with an ISO loader, such as Nintendont.

Also anyone else noticed a glitch with this map pack where this map pack wont save advanced extra levels or expert advanced levels past level 5. I want to be able to practice those levels later on but Dolphin doesnt seem to ever save them when i reach them in challenger mode. Is this a common issue?

Yes. Install Nintendont on your USB or SD card and create a folder called "games" on the root directory on your SD or USB, and download the ISO file for this and put it in the games folder, then you're good to go. U have to have a gamecube controller to play, though

You can't do checkpoints in Super Monkey Ball! The best way you could accomplish something similar would be to split up one large level into multiple levels that come sequentially after each other. The lack of checkpoints and the short+sweet nature of the stages in this game are part of why I love it, and love designing for it, though.
