Int. Nunchaku tournament Moscow 2013 - Tanguy Guinchard - 1st place

I was at the european nunchaku championship in Russia at Moscow this week end,... I had the 1st place in freestyle category with the same point that Nicolay Kuznetsov.
Big up to him, cause he made a marvellous freestyle!!!
I was very glad to be there and would thanks specially:
- Marc Brémart from the NIA, to allow my friends and I to take part in tournament like this one!
- all the russian people who receive us in their country, and thanks them for their good organization!
- My friends who supported me! (that I congratule for their results! =D)

Excellent skills! I just wonder what it would look like without all the gymnastics? It's hard to tell the actual nunchuck moves from the flips. Nevertheless...great stuff!

I see a lot of comments about is it effective but no one in there right mind is going to get into a fight with nunchucks. Being able to control your self and a tool is martial talent. he may not be a fighter. Or he may be you should ask him to fight and find out.

Sorry idk much about this discipline, but is that normal grab the Nunchaku from the chain and not from the stick to speed up turns? I mean it is more for show fantasy or still can strong hit for attack in a fight?

Some great moves for sure, the athleticism and agility. Just gotta watch those flip kicks in a real fight, they're likely to get you fucked up against someone like my brother who'll grab you out the air and smash you around like a rag doll. Me I'd just step back, avoid the kick and strike at the most opportune time.

The attention is in the details not the acrobatic flips. His stance is soft, his kicks are poor. The performance should be a kata that is to strengthen your fundamentals. His nunchuku is very impressive but his basics and fundamentals is rubbish. His bowing quick and sloppy.
