You know, i don't like to comment on these because it's hard to restrain myself from being rude about the trash these people leave everywhere and the way they hound these monkeys especially when the moms become apprehensive, but that is by far the fattest, wrinkliest, most adorable infant ever and it has an absolutely wonderful bad attitude and is heart melting cute when it's throwing a little tantrum. How could you not love it?

All of Tara’s babies are little chubby hairy balls of attitude. She has the fattest, healthiest babies in her troop. I’m guessing it’s because she’s the matriarch and eats very well. Every single one of her babies are so adorable as newborns, they are just the cutest.

@@christinamoran1027 all the adult monkeys in all these people's videos that hang around the temples or whatever are disgustingly obese, whether it's the matriarch or not. But if this little guys mom is the queen, that's why he's so healthy. His mom is the biggest, strongest, and is in possession of the best genes. And eating non-stop isn't going to hurt. But all monkey babies are somewhat chunky at birth. He will grow out of it real quick. It's only been three or four days and he's slimmed up noticeably already. He's real active too, so it won't take him long. I think he is so big like that cause he is so late being born. Spent a couple extra weeks inside, probably cause his mom is morbidly obese. Really he is downright out of season. None of these indicate health on moms part, quite the opposite. These assholes recording don't care. They will feed her a constant supply of sugar until she explodes so long as she stays close by. The long tailed macaques are greedy and don't seem to be able to restrain themselves either for whatever reason. The pig tailed ones rarely if ever get obese like that, neither do rhesus or taupe macaques, and there are plenty of places where they are in the same situation. There are some videos floating around, shorts, of a Tibetan macaque that's obese like that, but it's a male, which is really rare, and it's one that was caught in a trap and lost it's arm as a baby and when it got rescued, the people in the little town fed it like these to keep it around cause they didn't want it to die, which it probably would have way up in the mountains like they are, and then it's like 35 years old too. Never seen any obese Japanese macaques either. Wonder why the long tails trend to fat like that.

In a majority of her videos, Fat Baby doesn't really whine or cry much. Especially, when her mom didn't nurse her as she got a bit older! Pudge Pudge usually just went with the flow of things!! As a vet, I must admit, I have some concerns, surrounding the health of this baby monkey. Throughout this footage, I've observed repeated behavioral patterns, and physical characteristics, which, together, lead me to believe that this monkey has, likely, suffered from hypoxic-ischaemic-encephalopathy (HIE), which is a condition that results, from a baby's brain undergoing oxygen deprivation, at, or around, the time of birth. HIE can stem from a number of potential causes, which range from problems with the umbilical cord, during delivery, such as a prolapsed cord, or the cord being wrapped around the baby's neck, to the mother, failing to have a sufficient amount of oxygen, present, within her blood, or even to the placenta separating, prematurely, from the uterus. The magnitude of the condition, itself, as well as the level of severity, associated with the long-term effects, and conditions, directly posed by HIE, have the potential to vary, greatly, on a case by case basis. In regards to this animal, it appears that what we are observing, however, seems to be a fairly mild case. The initial indication of this condition, that I've noticed, is the appearance of petechiae, on this monkey's face. These reddish/purplish/bluish markings, are similar to bruising, and caused by broken capillaries, and bleeding into the skin, which often results from trauma, but it is also known to manifest, characteristically, in cases relating to HIE. Additionally, the decrease in mobility, muscle strength, and limbic control, that we are seeing, along with the reduction of the impulse to blink, and the weakness, muscle spasms, tremors, coordination limitations, lethargy, empty stares, and decreased vocalizations, all, speak to the fact that some degree of brain cell death has occured, subsequent to HIE, and is presenting, long-term, in the form of nerve damage, impaired muscle control, delayed cognitive development/function, and the remote possibility of Cerebral Palsy. A certain degree of recovery, from these issues, will probably occur, but it is difficult to project just how complete that recovery will be, seeing as a multitude of factors are at play, both, internally, in terms of genetics, the condition, itself, and its implications, relative to this specific individual, and all, underlying circumstances, as well as externally, in terms of the effort/assistance/impacts of others, to aid in, and encourage active progress, and the environmental influence on things, such as nutrition. From my prior experience, with conditions of this nature, I do believe, however, that this monkey will have quite a significant opportunity for recovery, due to the fact, that as of currently, her most severe impacts, seem to be rooted in issues, relating to nerve damage, and muscle control, as opposed to extensive neurological, or cognitive disorders. With the majority of her potential for standard cognitive function, left intact, despite the consequences of HIE, she is not likely to suffer from any major mental impairments. Additionally, as she develops, and gains strength, her likelihood of acquiring better control over her muscles, is extremely high. As this takes place, there is a very good chance, that the impacts of the nerve damage, she has suffered, will also appear to lessen, with time. Realistically, despite her initial setbacks, obstacles, and medical complications, I definitely believe that with a little extra time, determination, and effort, throughout her most formative, and developmental, life stages, this little monkey is, ultimately, going to be capable of living a fairly normal, enjoyable, and fulfilling life. I certainly send lots of positive energy, and support, her way, and I will be looking forward to keeping an eye on her upcoming progress!!😊🧡

I'm always happy and excited to read theories from actual specialists, and not armchair experts. I work with foster animals, mostly cats with special needs and I have a theory that mommas might have / had (gestational) diabetes. Babies born to humans with diabetes often have premature births, but it's impossible to tell just by looking at the infant due to the size. It could also account for the coordination issues you listed. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the monkey world, but Tara, as a queen, gets her pick of the plentiful fruits offered. I rarely see these monkeys foraging, and a fruit / carb heavy diet is not natural for them. If you look up Amari (the monkey, who also had a troop named after her), she seemed to experience the same.

She is extremely distressed. Mom holds up high so she CANT nurse. Her little nose is completely battered up. Little cuts from rooting for milk. It looks painful to me. Mom let her roll on the ground face first. She gets up as if to say , " really mom, don't bother helping me up! " Mom is constantly keeping her from nursing. Later you can SEE the results, TIA lost all kinds of weight. Mom is keeping her from nursing more that letting her nurse. So her expressions are TRUE. She is hungry and irritated.😢😢😢

it actually looks like the mother is carrying the baby higher up because her stomach hangs down too low to let it ride the normal way. I assume she has to do the same thing when she climbs up and down a tree or the baby would get scraped off from being dragged along the tree trunk. She looks like she is has a lot of trouble moving around because of the weight...but people keep feeding it snacks.

Tia is the cutest little chunker I've ever seen. She has the cutest face, you can tell she is thinking about how to get more milk lol. She is a little fighter that girl. Even when mom nips at her she will stay latched until mom pulls her off. She was so alert when she was born. Lately I love how she has found ways to get around mom not letting her nurse. She will walk around momna few times then jump and latch on to a teet and suckle until mom pulls her off. She is like a little ninja hahaha. Too adorable. She is nursing enough or she wouldn't have all that energy. Plus she eats all the food mom drops so she lucked out that Tara is a sloppy eater. It might take Tia a little while to chew but she gums it up lol.

I just love & adore Miss Beautiful Pudge Pudge Fat Butt Tia!!! She's so Frikken cute! I have never seen anything cuter than her! I wish she could stay small forever! I haven't noticed her little games with mommy, yet!!! I will laugh so hard once I do catch on to her games!!! She's like: I'm going to eat, Mom! You're going to feed Me! LoL! Whether mom likes it or not! Fat Butt Tia is going to eat!!! It's crazy how beautiful & big she is! When she waddles up next to other babies who are weeks/ months older than her, she's usually bigger than them, too!!! So, you know that she's always eating good! But, presently, she has lost a lot of weight!!! Is that because she's just growing?? Or, do you think her mom is not feeding her as often now??? They cant really Swallow food until 3 months of age. If she nurses until FULL she would continue to try to get more milk. Only the baby knows she isn't nursing until FULL

So one of the symptoms of gestational diabetes is having a chunker of a baby. If you understad insulin and how too much will make you gain, not enough and you will starve to death, then it makes sense. Baby was in the womb and high insulin levels caused her to gain weight before she was even born. A major downside is how it will make her feel - constantly hungry, an overall feeling of being unwell, headaches, etc. Oh and she's likely a premie, but it's impossible to tell because of how big she is. She's not healthy, most certainly not happy, and not getting nearly enough to eat. She will regulate soon, but you can see how much weight she's lost.

So adorable the baby it sniffing for mom milkbars the baby is hungry but the baby looks healthy most certainly not malnutrition so mom has allowed nursing perhaps not as much as the baby would like bc most like to nurse and sucking for a long period of time on mom sucking and pulling for mom milk but the child does need mom nutrition milk to grow big and strong her milk is rich and am sure her milk fill it little stomach up but somes of the babies will continue on sucking even though they be full of mom milk it could be when the child is nursing it comfortably and connected to mom warmth and so soothing mom body warm and child gets mom warm sweet milk and just rather stay close to mom and her milk staying connect to her tit and pulling milk until it fall asleep and will go to sleep 😴💤 with a tit still connect to it lips well its a baby monkey thats all it knows for right now mom and a tit its a baby somes babies required more milk than others babies .😊

It was stated above from a vet that the baby has medical issues such as nerve damage and brain trauma and mom had diabetes that's why this baby was born fat and then loses weight because her body has to process everything for itself now

PLEASE NOTE: Anyone else to watch this video. Please note that the edit around the baby eating. especially the times that the mom has the baby's head on her side and it looks ike she iisn't lett ing her eat. That is completey false. I've sen antoher video of this in which the mom feeds the daughter plenty.Even mom falls asleep while. That is why once the little baby reaches the nipple it doesn't latch on. Because it is full and exausted from being born. so he was getting the best nap EVER! It is frustrated cause it wants the thing in moms hand not frustarted cause he iddn't eat. That is a sad lie. IDK why they need to make it look like these amazing animal mom aren't doing their job. I think its gives some folks the justification to steal them from their moms. Complete BS.

She has very expressive faces that tell the story of what she is experiencing. She is very good at showing pain when mom bites or pulls her away from the milk. Mom is very stingy with her milk, she doesn't give it easily. Baby has to fight for her milk. I think that is sad.
