I was hoping that Nine Head’s evil plans would be a continuation from the JTTW. In the novel he was married into an evil Dragon family, stole Li Jing’s Pagoda and somehow cause a kingdom to rain blood and passed the blame onto Buddhist monks and had them executed for it. The Dragons were slayed by Wukong and his companions and Nine Head was wounded by Erlang Shen and his dog but ran away. I feel like if LMK crew continued that subplot, and made him seek revenge for his family instead by going after not just Wukong’s loved ones but Erlang’s loved ones as well. Then Erlang Shen could have finally had his debut on this show.

@@bluebelt1235No bruv,I think you're mistaken cause there is a pagoda in the story,but it's where the Sarirā that he & his father-in-law stole.They did make a blood rain,but it's specifically at the Pagoda,which isn't Li Jing's but a Pagoda in Jisai's capital. Because of their act,the pagoda stopped having auspicious aura that attracts Buddhist pilgrims but the king of Jisai blamed the monks of the Pagoda instead cause he didn't know there are demons involved. Also I'm not sure about the whole Erlang Shen thing you mentioned,but in the 2012 revised edition I read,it's just Wukong & Pigsy who happened to notice Erlang Shen and his brothers (in a sense,I'm guessing,like how Wukong,Wujing and Bajie are brothers or like 'the brotherhood',correct me if I'm wrong cause I only know the Meishan brothers from adaptations I watched,I haven't read anything on them,I'm basically cross-referencing) passing by at the sky (they're on their way home from hunting) and they all fought the entirety of Nine Heads & the dragon Princess' family. Btw if anyone is curious about Wukong being shy towards Erlang Shen and asking Pigsy to talk for him,it happens in this arc & it's cause he's bested by Erlang Shen in the past.

My guess is he conspired with a deity (and has always been doing that for a while),with Gong Gong.I wonder if Nine Heads is really taking the place of Xiangliu by breaking the pillar of heaven,or he's just related to Xiangliu in the chinese dub (if someone gonna mention that the english dub is the original,yeah I know,but following the english dub explanation makes me scratch my head since there was alreazy a nine-headed serpent in S4,while this guy is a nine-headed fusion of various creatures as you can see in 6:49 )

@@higunner Sadly yes. It's still good but not as good as in other seasons. I think the Nine Headed Demon got the best animations of the season
