At 48:31 the Barroom Brawl also couldn't target Brian's stuff as all his creatures had protection from all colors because of A roman's Will. Very easy to miss, like the Imposing Grandeur. Anyhow, great game!❤

53:35 Misplay from Eilidh's side. You can't resolve other triggered abilities until fully resolving Cultivator Colossus (including the repeat effects). From the Gatherer: You repeat the process as part of Cultivator Colossus's triggered ability's resolution. If the land you put onto the battlefield caused any abilities to trigger, those abilities won't go on the stack until after the ability has finished resolving.

Ya know it's because of this channel that I decided to get back into magic - commander specifically. Been 10 years since I played last and across all of these different MTG channels from Shuffle Up and Play to Game Knights to Elder Dragon Hijinks and Commander at Home - I never see any black white decks - so i'm building a Radabrik deck. MTG has really changed in the last 10 years man, lots of cool art and stuff not to mention the proxy scene has gotten huge. Thanks for getting me back into it!

Awesome game! Eilidh, you can always throw a Nylea, God of the Hunt, Primal Rage, Surrak and Goreclaw, or a bunch of other stuff for trample givers into your deck. Surrak and Goreclaw also give haste, which is important for green!

As a HUGE fan of simic landfall shenanigans, I have to sadly point out that Cultivator colossus ability has to completely resolve, even the repeats, before any other ability placed on the stack can resolve. Likewise once it starts resolving no one can respond until the controller of Cultivator chooses not to repeat or can't repeat. This is actually one of the main reasons I run panharmonicon in my Aesi Deck, is because that way two instances of the Cultivator ability go on the stack, so that I can play all the lands I have plus the draws from Cultivator. Then I resolve the aesi and any other draws, then I resolve the panharmonicon copy of the Cultivator ability. Edit: Spelling

Oooo I loved the mangara deck. I remember playing with you at an scg event and you had to go to dinner with Sheldon, and so we pulled out faster decks. I was playing ishin, and there was someone else playing a henzie deck. You played a turn three 3 mana Thalia, and the henzie player and I just looked at you. You then thought about it and then put the Thalia back in your hand and we all laughed a lot. You ended up having to leave early, but the game was super fun. :)

At 54:00 the cultivator collossus triggers are all universal. You cannot do any of the other landfall triggers until after the entirety of cultivators triggers stop. (I play modern prime time so I’ve mastered that cards tricky triggers) basically all you can do is play a land and draw a card individually once you decide to stop or you run out of lands you then count how many landfall triggers or other triggers that occurred while playing those lands and you may stack them however you’d like on the stack. It’s important because the proliferation on the vorinclex and the flipping would not have happened and he could not have gotten as many counters due to this effect being misplayed.

Then, unless it was edited out the vorinclex when it came back into play the 2 land cards grabbed from that etb ability would not be allowed to be played as apart of the cultivator etb ability.

For future cultivator colossoses, you have to do it's effect first so put land in draw etc. All other triggers go on the stack past the cultivator. And when your done cultivating, you can start with all the triggers from the proliferate dude and the grand evolution. But that's a mess anyways what goes where with those 2 out 😂

Otherwise you could just draw your deck with a bounce Land. So that's why it's not allowed I guess. Stil works good with underealm lich and abundance was the other one I think.

It’s just that any ability must fully resolve before any other abilities or spells can be put on the stack, you have to fully resolve the colossus trigger.

for note, when resolving something like cultivator colossus, you have to finish all of the colossus actions before anything else so the proliferates and other card draw effects will have to wait until its over.

The cultivator colossus require you to repeat as part of the same trigger you wouldn't get any of the proliferate or saga triggers until after you put all the lands from hand into play so the transformed saga wouldn't have draw a card until the later in the turn.

Does anyone know the setup used to record these games? I've been recording some games my friends and I play on SpellTable, but the 720p resolution is lacking and we've seen weird degredation using OBS Virtual Camera so we limit ourselves to single camera direct feed. I feel that the face cams is overlayed on top in post via discord or zoom which also handles the audio. I'm really curious.

I don't think it really changed anything about the outcome, but Olivia forgot to pay for either Sheoldred or the Lilly she cast after it. Tapped Nykthos for 12, cast both 4 drops and used 8 to activate Gix. It probably didn't matter, but what are comment sections for if not pointing out minor mistakes.

I wasn’t paying close attention (multitasking) but did Brian not gain life off his attack? Akroma’s will also gives lifelink! ❤ When they changed the legend rule on planeswalkers, WotC introduced us to the multiverse, which is why all the different Lilianas can coexist. I feel for Olivia and Rachel. My sneezes are loud enough to frighten children and propel my body a couple inches off the ground. It’s like a superpower I don’t want. 😛
