Surge, you are thinking of "fall from favor" when it comes to monarchy based cards. Fall requires the player who owns the creature to become the monarch for the creature to untap.

Up until recently, my favourite part of magic was playing the sealed format because it encourages a little thinking without having you go through millions of cards to make a deck but then I had my first game of commander where my Isshin, Two Heavens as One completely destroyed. The format is amazing and I love watching all the commander videos!! It's a fun game but some of the interactions go completely over my head and the stack resolution takes a little getting used to 😅 Again, I really appreciate you explaining the interaction I missed!!

Personally love mono color decks. Have a God-Eternal Oketra deck I affectionately refer to as "Mommy Oketra's Simp Army." It is an absolute blast to play and deceptively quick to ramp. I love introducing new players to Kor Skyfisher and Whiteman Lion bouncing themselves repeatedly to push out a horde of 4/4 vigilance zomboys.
