I don't see why not if you don't own 4 copies of Sheoldred. You could swap a couple of removal spells for Rush of Dread. I added Insatiable Avarice which can also find you the combo piece you need.

As a fellow black midrange player Matt, how do you feel about caustic bronco?

I'd have to play test it. The dream scenario is curving it on turn 2, and then saddling it with a Graveyard Trespasser on 3. But short of playing a creature every turn to saddle it, I think I'd rather be attacking with the other creatures. My gut feeling is that it isn't the next Dark Confidant. Feel free to prove me wrong though. 😁

@@LibertyMTG I completely agree that it is definitely not the next dark confidant. Bob is amazing. I’m about to start testing it as a value piece. It may be too slow with needing to be able to attack to trigger the draw. I could almost see it being in a rakdos deck also being able to curve turn 3 into push your opponent’s creature, play bloodtithe harvester, and saddle. But that is an optimist way of thinking not a realistic one.

@@joshuagriffith9191 That's exactly how I feel. It's a little slow since you need to attack with it, and you can't guarantee it's a "safe" attack since it's only a 2/2. It might have a place in Rakdos, or Standard (which is a format I've completely forgotten about lol.)

crucial play is when phoenix player used his lightning axe to kill tiny bones when obviously shoeldred is coming

Aside from Sheoldred is always coming, it wasn't obvious. I didn't slam Sheoldred on turn 4 or 5, but waited until a better opportunity.

@@alexisrobedillo1834 Disagree. When he has Opt and Arclight Phoenix as the other choices... are those even choices? It's not obvious Sheoldred is coming.
