One important thing to know here... Across all the level ups you get a total of +5 ability points... So dumping one point from 20 to 19 and then using the first one you get to bump it back to 20 nets you extra 4 points from the ability cost.

21:00 I'd always recommend bringing one of your main stats up to an uneven number and even it out with a lvl up, since you'll only get 5 stat raises through level up. So, having both dexterity (16) and wisdom (20) at an even number on lvl 1 means you'll end up dumping one stat raise into strength on lvl 20, since strength is the only stat that benefits from raw stat value as well as modifier in that it raises your carry weight. Essentially you're wasting stat points. Actually, I think intelligence also benefits from uneven stat values. Unless I'm mistaken you get a skillpoint from uneven values every 2nd lvl up, though that'll hardly matter at lvl 20. Some finesse-oriented combat talents also require 13 INT, so if you plan on building something like that you can bump intelligence to 12 on lvl 1, then drop your first stat raise at lvl 4 into INT instead of your main stats. Finally, I'd never recommend dropping charisma to 7 on your main character. They need that in dialogues. I'd recommend never having less than 12. 14 or 16 if your build allows it. DEX-heavy builds or spellcasters usually don't have to spread their attention on STR, DEX and CON at the same time and thus usually have a few spare points to dump into CHA. If you want a really good Inquisitor (Sacred Huntmaster) in your party then multi-class Amiri. She'll become an absolute beast of a 2nd row damage dealer if you mix in some Huntmaster early on and later level into Ranger and Two-Handed Fighter for the AB, Cleave and Sunder Armor. Also has the benefit of probably being one of the most lore-friendly builds for your companions if you value such things. She'll have terrible AC but you'll keep her behind your tanks most of the time and Amiri is one of those melee companions that'll never get legendary AC anyway. Just be sure not to put too many levels into Huntmaster since she'll need the AB from ranger and fighter as well as the additional talents and feats to make the most of that oversized sword.

amiri is a good one to multi to huntsman, but even better is mad dog + huntsman = best damage in the game. you can use damage meter mod and see it

@@lastructchure389 Fair point but that requires your build to figure in WIS instead of CHA - a stat that is just as useless for most builds as the other. It also means you're essentially "wasting" your background. Ideally you'd want to pick something that's useful for your build - either shoring up a glaring weakness or doubling down on specialization. If your build already revolves around Wisdom then that background trait would be far from the worst pick. If not then it's almost worse than useless although I can see this being a round-about way of "double-dipping" benefits for when you want to boost the will save of a class with very low will. However, if that's all you really need then it's almost always better to either take a feat or keep an item for that even if there would be more fitting options.

Harrim makes a much better Monster Tactician than Cleric. Divine Favor + Favored Enemy is the only thing I've found that makes the Sacred Huntsmaster Accurate enough on Unfair, so I definitely swap out for a full BAB class after level 8 or so. Ranger or Paladin are nice options for that.

idk, huntsmasters go very well pure, but you could try to go 5 in monk to get pummeling bully faster and make him sort of a duelist, low strenght and high dex, wis, pick feats that add his dex to his trip and focus him and his pet on making the enemy fall down. don't know how good that would be.

I don't think the Inquisitor is a good class for Kingmaker, it's main powers are really limited and some of it's skills are based on roleplay, in a game like this where there's a lot of encounters you will deplete it's resources too fast and they removed some roleplay skills without giving it a replacement
