I like your style very much. May I ask, how do You know that is the value of the first layer good? I mean the first tone lightness or darkness before make any brush strokes. At first, I thought it will be too dark, my mistake. 😀 Thanks!

Knowing how dark a wash will be comes with practice! Remember a watercolour wash will always dry lighter.
