Sir it meaans k diffraction grating light ko bend b krti h aur disperse b krti h??
@zerocramchemistry16103 жыл бұрын
Not, diffraction grating just diffraction light, while prism monochromator disperse light into several wavelengths

Sir why the angle of reflection of beams after diffraction become different even if they have same angle of incidence for more than one incident rays?

This thing I have clearly explained in the video. Please watch it again with focus. Thanks

Sir ! Is it possible that the interfering species absorb the same 'selected wavelength' as absorbs by the analyte due to any possible phenomenon? If yes, then how detector differentiates the absorption due to analyte and interfering species?
@zerocramchemistry16103 жыл бұрын
Yes it is possible as analyte or interfering species can absorb similar if not identical wavelengths. This is the problem as we are sending at least more than one wavelength after selection through monochromator to have some measurable response from detector. In that case we have some extra features installed in instrument such as magnetic polarity induction or installation of one additional secondary light source in line with regular source. We will discuss it further in the course under the heading of removing spectral and matrix interferences.

sir| at surface of CDs or DVDs both diffraction and dispersion occurs, or just diffraction?
@zerocramchemistry1610Ай бұрын
Diffraction. CD or DVD is just for example to illustrate real diffraction grating

Sir is there any difference between specteograph and polychromator as both are isolating bands of different wavelenghts at a time?
@zerocramchemistry16103 жыл бұрын
In broad terms there is no difference but generally polychromtor is more advanced term and it is simply monochromatic device with out any exit slit.
