I will just say this: after Kindergarten, I had never wanted to do anything with color, I am good at sketching but not coloring. But just because of your videos, I am kind of itching to buy water painting and start painting those beautiful flowers!!! Those are just gorgeous!

Hi Shayda! So I found you this year because I wanted to learn calligraphy and, but your watercolors are sooooooo beautiful too. I have learned more from you about how to paint a "satisfying" even a painting that I sort of "love" (which happened for the first time in my life from this video painting along with you tonight) than in the last two years of watching artists show "their own style" of how they paint a watercolor picture, not to say they're not good tutors, but I am really finding my wings to fly, with you. Thank you so much. I can't wait to become a Patreon at your website. xoxoxo :)

Love your painting style Shayda. I'm glad to see you painting with Cotman, I have always had a fondness for this paint, and have been using it for nearly 50 years. Have you tried mixing on a white tea plate or saucer? Ceramic is so much easier to mix on - The colour stays where you put it, it's not beading up on you all the time so it lets you create multiple tints or colour mixes within the same patch on your palette.

Ok. I did it today. I don’t have Prussian Blue but it is famous. I used “primary blue” from a good tube set. My brushes are good too. My paper wasn’t like yours, I’ve been researching cold press v. hot press. So the end result is it’s okay but yours is beautiful! Yes, yours could be framed on a wall. Mine looks like Kleenex box art. But I’ll keep trying. My sketch came out really good so I may paint that tomorrow. Thanks.

That sounds really encouraging! Keep painting and practising! I have improved so much since I started this KZbin channel and it's all because I paint so often when making the videos!

Yeah, it's not easy. I often mess up these types of pieces, but I stick to this formula and eventually I get it 😊 the more often I paint, the easier I find it! ❤️
