That is shaping up as a sweet build! I can't wait to see the reveal on this or your your Monte Carlo. I wish the regal kits would come back and perhaps someday they will, we know who will make them and I'm a fan of them and all they have done. Also, nice PSA on cleaning the airbrush. AWESOME video!

Bobby Allison drove this Miller Buick. Never knew Dick Trickle drove it.

He drove it with the number 84

@@GrumpyModeler I knew Bobby Hillon drove the 8 that was on the sheet as well but couldn't think of the 84 i remember the decal's and kit. Dick Trickle was a good choice!

You mentioned to ask about anything. So, here goes. Could you show a little more about how you marked off the area you mentioned when you put the decal cut outs on the model? You should how you taped them to the model.......and that was it. Then it went to part of the body already taped and ready for paint. I would like to know what you did when you said you marked where to apply the tape. That would show me more about a good technique to use in my builds.

djBob, I actually filmed that part and for some reason the file became corrupt. I’ll absolutely do a segment in the 81 Monte Carlo series covering that.

@@GrumpyModeler. Awesome. I look forward to all of your videos. I always learn something. Like the roll bar padding.

@@Bob0sModelFabWorx I agree, that was really cool to use the heat shrink in such a novel way.

Hi Darrin, another info packed video which I enjoyed very much. Could I request an in-depth section on your clear coat/ varnish technique as I have recently had a few problems with colour change using Tamiya LP semi gloss 🙁

As soon as you started to spray the gold paint, I immediately started to think, it may have been better to paint the whole car white first. Did you ever complete this build??

The same car with all the accessories came molded in gold and the white accent on the rear of the car was painted white, was your model pre painted? I don't think it would look too good in bear plastic
