Looks fantastic Andrew. I covered a great planes 40 trainer wing similar only i cut out 4 crome stars on the leading with the star burst coming out of the V end of the star. Monocote white with yellow stripes. It came out ok but i had some wrinkles in the white base and tried to get them out with no sucess. For a trainer it will be fine for me. What i used for stripe patterns is chip board that comes with soda, beer, cereal packaging ect. And use the largest one that will be long enough and cut them out and I folded the monocoat ib half, taped the edges, taped the pattern in a few places and cut away and now you have two identical stripes, one left one right. I didn't use the wood pecker method, but i love the idea and will on the next one. Love your video very informative and helpful.

The clear film is beginning to lift from the checkerboard if i were to re cover the tail section do i have to cut the rudder and elevator surfaces at the hinges or can it be covered with them still hinged?
@n1114v4 жыл бұрын
If you do not want to remove the hinges all you need to do is cut the covering about a quarter inch away from the hinge area then when you recover the surfaces overlap slightly to the old covering.
